Hi! I'm a fanfiction fan since a very (very) long time but I never thought that one day I'll be writing my own! You're gonna ask me what changed? Castle season finale! I got an inspiration wave so here is my first baby! It'll be a multi-chapter fic! I'm studying English for more than ten years but I'm not a native so please excuse my mistakes :)

Disclaimer: One guy is driving me crazy... he owns Castle and I'm terribly jealous!

Katherine Houghton Beckett will you marry me?

She wasn't able to move, frozen on the swing she was staring blankly at the simple but beautiful diamond ring Castle was presenting her. Their eyes met, hers were questioning and his desperately waiting for her sentence. The one that could change their lives forever.

-"Rick, this is…"

-"Answer please"

She was lost; her mind was blurred by a storm of questions why was he doing this now? Does he feel constraint by the circumstances? Is this just because she is about to leave or this is real? She knows that she was torturing him right now; his body was tensed at the edge of explosion. She set him free:

-"Yes Rick but…"

-"Thanks God "

-"…not like this"

The quick smile that appeared on his lips, the first genuine smile since their fight, faded. He was disappointed; this woman was once again driving him crazy.

-"What? Why? Do you still love me?"

-"of course! Please stand up and let me explain"

He still had the ring in hand and slowing backed up until he reached the swing, eager to hear what she had to say. She was hesitating how could she tell him without hurting his feelings?

-"Rick, it took me some time but I told you that I love you nothing changed. It is just the situation we're in now; I don't think that starting a marriage on wrong bases would be durable."

-"wrong bases?"

-" I lied to you about my interview and you didn't answer me when I needed reassurance about where we were going, you answered this today but we still have work to do on our relationship. I want us to be at the same point, do you understand?"

She was unsure of his reaction; his gaze was lost on the people passing by: an old woman with a dog, businessmen in the hurry, children playing soccer. Slowly he turned his head to meet her eyes, those extraordinary green/hazel eyes.

-"I see your point Kate and I agree, what does it mean for now? Are you going to DC?"

-"For now" She grabbed his hand and laces their fingers

"I'm not going anywhere without you, you're my one and done I don't want to mess this up because every time I think about the future I see you. So I suggest that you keep the ring until a more appropriate moment, you already know my answer but I would like it to be right. "

After this confession she feels slightly relieved, Castle had teary eyes and carefully stood so that his lips could reach hers for a chaste kiss.
