Disclaimer: I own neither the song, nor Once Upon A Time. I do, however, own the different situation they find themselves in.
Author's Note: A companion piece to 'Thicker Than Blood' from other perspectives. Little 100 word drabbles than can be read individually or in relation to the story (and where it is heading). I hope you guys enjoy it. I love the notion of things being nowhere near as black and white as OUAT has made everything to be on their show, so these are my attempts to create a more realistic society, where heroes are only bandied by those who are self-proclaimed, and villains are only vilified by certain specific groups of people.
Any feedback, especially constructive, is greatly appreciated.
She Will Be Loved
When Little John meets the woman with the epithet 'Evil Queen' again, he still burns from fingertips to the ends of his now sparse hair. She's beautiful but thinner, and maybe sadder.
The first time he'd met her, she had been his daughter's age and married for a month, married to a man older than himself. The terror in her eyes had never released their hold on him.
Consequently, he bows formally from his waist, uses his bushy eyebrows and larger waist to his advantage. He jokes at his expense and has the pleasure of watching her apprehension slowly released.
