Hi Lo. This is my first fanfic… Ummm… Disclaimer: NONE OF THIS IS MINE. Except the idea. I think it's mine, unless someone snuck into my dreams and planted it in my head (Inception reference). Um…. This may be awful, it may not be. If it's not, enjoy, if it is, I'm sorry for your eyes. P.S. Prolly gonna be Ezekiel-centric
"Three Archaeologists Go Missing While Exploring the Cueva de las Manos", Cassandra read aloud. The clippings book had yet another adventure for them to go on, another mystery to solve.
"The Cave of the Hands," Jake mused, "I've always wanted to visit. It's a great piece of art nearly thousands of years old that-"
"Okay, so where're we going?" interrupted Ezekiel with a pizza-filled mouth.
"We're going to Argentina," Stone spat back with annoyance. Sometimes, Ezekiel's lack of appreciation of the arts made Stone wonder why the kid is a librarian in the first place. Suddenly, Jenkins came in with a weird device that seemed to be ticking… couldn't possibly be good for anyone.
"You all aren't going anywhere, not yet," Jenkins chipped in, "We don't know why these disappearances are suddenly happening now. This cave has been around for ages, so why now? There were three of them, how are you so certain they aren't, or weren't a coven?"
Everyone was silent. He had a point. They had a bad habit of going into things unprepared, but where would you start? It's not like they could pack a little bit of everything and hope that one of those items could defeat the enemy.
"Why don't we check out these archaeologists first?" Eve suggested.
Wonderful! A starting place! The librarians were a bit jealous they didn't think of that themselves, but who better than their guardian to think of a better, safe starting place? Jenkins seemed to resign from the discussion and let them go ahead and explore. Everyone was moving about, getting ready for yet another adventure.
"Guess I was wrong Jones," Stone chuckled, "We're going to Australia first."
No one noticed, but for once, the world's greatest thief's facade fell away, and for a second, just one second, the great Ezekiel Jones seemed to be scared.
