Farewell, Hannah Montana

"I'd like to thank the world for accepting me," said a long-shared teenage girl sitting in a dark room lit by a single, weak white light. "I'd like to thank my father and mother for inspiring me...my friends for supporting me...and everyone who built me up. Hopefully, I have remained true enough to myself so that they'll recognize me. You know, there are so many of us who are remembered by the entertainment we provided in our childhoods. Um, I want the world to remember me as more than just a t.v. star...I want to be remembered as an inspiration...as a source of hope. I want to live on after I've died.

'I wasn't born Miley Ray Cyrus...I was born Destiny Hope Cyrus. I can only hope I've lived up to my name. I'd like to express my undying love and gratitude towards my co-stars and best friends Emily Osment, Jason Earls, Mitchel Musso, and all those who helped me along my career, and who helped me in my life. In life, um...I know you're blessed to have true friends, and dreams. I'd like to thank The Lord for my talents and gifts...and for my family and friends.

'It's been a dream...and it's not over yet. You can't fathom what it's like to be living my dream every single day of my life. I hope that I have touched people, that I have given you all something positive to look back on. Good luck to you all on your journeys, and I hope the result is wonderful. Candace Cameron, Jodie Sweetin, thank you for being an inspiration for so many. Never give up on your dreams, never forget the purity and beauty of all life...Now... Goodbye." The girl shut off her camera, and departed from the dark room, walking towards the breath-taking sunset on the horizon. Reflecting the amazing colors and hues of the sunset were the thousands of waves washing up against the shore.
