Written for the CCOAC Theme song Challenge. I would get a song like this one that reminds what I have lost and me of my da. I will do my best. See my Da was a police officer and he along with two other officers were shot and killed back in 2007. I was 16 at the time anyway. The person that did it I just found out passed away before we could get a trial. Therefore, he dies under the eyes of the law an Innocent man. Anyway this song makes me think if my Daddy the Hero.

Derek Morgan stood at the head stone his head bent down eyes filled with tears. He knelt down and traced the letters of the name on said head stone. "I'm so sorry Em you know every one says I am a hero but I can be I didn't make it in time to save you". He whispered "you are…were one of my best friends and I am a hero. If that's true why couldn't I save you?" He asked his voice breaking with anguish.
"It's been a year and a half now and the team still misses you. It is not the same with out you. It is also not, like when Gideon or El left. It is different and I cannot explain it. I suppose you want to know why they call me a hero now right." He asked the head stone.
"I caught him Em for you. We finally tracked him down and trapped him in a building. I was in the team that went in and I found him. He tried to pull a gun on me Em but I got him he is gone now and he can't hurt anyone else."
Morgan explained, "That's why I am a hero." He finished with a sigh and stood up he had made a decision He was not going to be afraid of being the Hero it was what he was. A week ago, he became a Hero when he finally took down the monster that took his beast friend from him.

He turned and froze it could not be suddenly it felt like he was being melted or rather his heart. After Em, he built walls around his heat and his soul not wanting to hurt again. Never wanting to go through that sorrow ever again. In one instant, they all shattered and came tumbling down and melted away. "Em" he whispered.
The woman smiled "Derek it's me I…" she trailed off not knowing what to say in that moment.
Derek smiled "so I guess you did not really die then?" he questioned. He watched as Emily lowered her eyes.
" No I had to go into hiding he wouldn't not have stopped and I couldn't let him hurt you guys so it was decided that I should hide" Emily explained " Oh Derek I hated lying to you all but I couldn't let you get hurt" She told him.
In that short amount of time Derek had made his way to her. "Your home that's all that matters" he said picking her up off her feet hugging her.
Emily returned the hug and whispered in his ear "My Hero that's you and you will always be just that" with a smile, she hugged him back. "Thank you Derek so much" she finished saying to him.
