Chapter 1
Years passed by, so Lucien and Wayne have grown up into adults. Lucien is now the principal of the school he used to go to as a child. Mari is his secretary and is even married to him. They have a daughter named Carrie who is in middle school. She has brown hair tied in a ponytail and wears glasses. She is calm and smart. Wayne works at Dirty Joe's junkyard.
Wendy became a designer and is married to Mari's brother, Calvin. They have two sons which are twins, Jeff and Jack. They look almost identical, with black hair but different eye colors. Jack is very spoiled while Jeff is more level-headed. Tony is slightly taller now and still lives in his parents' house. He is married to a housemaid named Jane and has a daughter named Martha, who is the same age as Carrie, and a son named Tony Jr.
Summer is over so school starts tomorrow. Carrie is in her bedroom. Lucien walks in:
Lucien: Hi, dear. How are you doing?
Carrie: I'm fine. I'm just upset that summer is over.
Lucien: You know it can't last forever. Don't worry, at least you'll see all your classmates again.
Carrie: There are some of them I wouldn't want to see again…
Next day in the school yard,
Martha: Hi, Carrie!
Carrie: Oh, hi.
Martha: How was your vacation? Mine was boring , I only went to the beach.
Carrie: I just enjoyed staying at home, playing with my pets. (Carrie owns a dog named Rick and two parrots )
Martha: Look. It's Jeff.
Carrie: With his brother…
Jeff and Jack come out of their father's car.
Jeff: Hi!
Carrie and Martha: Hi!
Jack(to Jeff) : Why are you talking to these dorks?
Martha: Who do you call a dork? You spoiled little prince!
Martha is usually calm but when someone insults her she goes mad.
Jeff: You gotta forgive Jack, you know how he is sometimes…
Carrie: Sometimes? Maybe always .
Jeff and Jack enter the school while the girls stay outside.
Martha: Look, Beth Roberts is coming.
Beth Roberts is the most popular girl in their class and Jack's girlfriend. She has very long blonde hair and brown eyes. She enters the school without saying 'hi' to Martha and Carrie.
Carrie: She's so smug…
Then Rachel Rivera and Peter Hirsch come out of the bus. Carrie has had a crush on Peter for a long time but she's too shy to express her feelings…He has dark brown wavy hair and blue eyes. Rachel is one of her friends. She's tall and has orange curly hair.
5 minutes later:
Carrie: The class is about to start…Let's go
Martha: It's the Math class. I never liked it!
Carrie: I do…
The class starts…
The teacher: Cramp?
Carrie: Yes…
The teacher: Hirsch?
Peter: I'm here.
The teacher: Hunter?
Brock Hunter: Here!
The teacher: Parsons?
Martha: Here!
Brock throws a paper plane to her.
Martha: Ouch.
The teacher: Martha, shut up!
Martha: But Brock…
The teacher: I said shut up!
Brock continues throwing paper planes to Carrie, Martha and others for the next classes and Jack laughs a lot. But a teacher finally notices and sends him to detention for one hour. Then she says:
Teacher: Tomorrow we'll elect the class president, so decide who you'll vote for this year.
The bell rings and the students start exiting the classroom
Martha: Who are you gonna vote?
Carrie: I think I'll vote for you.
Martha: Me too!
Carrie: (laughs)
Jack comes and says:
Jack: You should all vote for me!
The girls ignore him and leave. Carrie is living not very far from the school so she doesn't need to take the bus, but Martha does.
Martha: Bye, Carrie!
Carrie: Bye!
