A/N: Welcome one and all, to my new summer story, Kamen Duellist GX. This story will involve a couple of OC with the rest of the GX gang.

Disclaimer: I don't own kamen rider or Yu-Gi-Oh GX. Some cards belong to Fenikkusumaru and some cards belong to me.

LET'S RIDE!
CHAPTER 1: NEW CARDS IN TOWN
Domino City. Home to some of the world's greatest duellists, and famous card game, Duel Monsters. This city housed Seto Kaiba, the CEO of the Kaiba Corporation, a famous business that specialises in holographic technology.
Joey Wheeler, self-proclaimed 'God father of games', your typical under dog who somehow made it big in the duelling world.
Finally, most of all, it housed one of the most famous duellist to ever live, Yugi Moto the King of Games.
It was a beautiful day in Domino City, the sun was shining, the birds were singing and…
"Dammit, dammit, dammit!"
The teenage duellist late for his entrance exam, was late.
This teen is about 15, with messy blonde hair under a cap and bright blue eyes. The cap he's wearing is black with a strange looking logo on the front. The logo is a pair of pink goggles with spikey pink hair.
'Why was he late?' you may ask, well…
"That is the last time in stay up late all night learning how to make pancake helicopter."
Well now you know.
This teen is on his way to an entrance exam to get into the infamous Duel Academy, a place Seto Kaiba created to house the next generation of duellists.
The young man makes his way to the Kaiba Dome, the place where the entrance exam will take place. He skids to halt, reaching a desk outside the Dome, with people signing up for the exam.
He puts his hands on the 2 deck boxes on his belt, and proceeds to the desk. "Alright guys, let's give it our all."
"Yeah/woo!" several voices called, from the cards it would seem.
He made his way to the desk, and a man was sitting behind it with a clipboard in hand.
"Hello there young man, how can I help you?" he asks him.
"Well I am here to apply for Duel Academy my good sir." He happily responds.
"Your name?"
"Zeke, Zeke Vale."
"Let me just see here… Ah here we go, your exam's the last one for today. You made it just in time. Go on through the door, and wait to be called."
"Thank you." He quickly says before walking in the entrance.
Inside, many soon to be students were duelling. Zeke makes his way to the banister next to a small boy with spikey bright blue hair and glasses.
"This place looks great, check out all the duels."
"You sure are excited aren't you?" The blue haired kid asks Zeke.
"Of course. Why? Aren't you?"
"Well yeah, it's just I kinda have a thing where I get test anxiety. I don't know how I won my duel. Name's Syrus by the way." He introduces.
"Name's Zeke. Hey at least you won and got in right?"
"Yeah I guess. Hey check out that duel."
Syrus points to one of the arenas where a kid with black slicked back hair and a grey uniform duelling against a proctor. On the proctors side of the field are two monsters in DEF mode, Gear Golem the moving fortress and Big Shield Gardna. On the opposite side is a Vorse Raider and a face down.
"Alright new guy. Multiple choice: you have two monsters staring you down, do you A: throw in the towel, B: beg for mercy, or C: run home to mamma?"
The boy just kept a calm face. "I'll go with D: none of the above." Pressing a button on his Duel Disk, the face down card reveals itself, showing Ring of Destruction. "I choose to activate my Trap card. You see, with Ring of Destruction I can destroy any monster in ATK position and we both take damage equal to its ATK points." A ring covered in grenades wrapped itself around Vorse Raiders neck and exploded in impact.
Boy: 1300
Proctor: 0000
"Clever move applicant. Welcome to Duel Academy."
"Thank you, oh wise proctor." He bows gratefully and the holograms disappear.
"That was a sweet duel!" Both Zeke and Syrus turn to look at a new boy standing next to Zeke. He has brown hair and is wearing an unzipped grey jacket over a red shirt.
"Will Zeke Vale please report to Duel Field #2, I repeat, Zeke Vale to Duel Field #2." A voice called over the PIA.
"Whelp, time to shine. Hey Syrus quick question. Which deck? Lefty or Righty?"
"Uh left?" He sheepishly answers.
Zeke smiles as he takes out said deck and a Kaiba Corp Duel Disk. "Wish me luck guys."
He walks down the stairs to the field and loads his deck into his Duel Disk. "Let's ride." He says before entering the field.
"Well he seems nice." The brown haired kid comments.
"Yeah, his name's Zeke, and I'm Syrus."
"My name's Jaden. So, did you get in?"
"Barley, I have a bit of test anxiety, I almost lost."
"So you're in! Congratulations! I'll be in when I win my duel."
"Wait, you mean you haven't duelled yet?"
"Nope."
"Well that might be a problem. I'm pretty sure Zeke is the last one."
Jaden had a shocked and worried look on his face, as he soon realised what just happened. "Huh?"
Zeke enters the field, and standing on the opposite is a man in a white jacket with blue lining. "Good you made it. You're making a good first impression, that's for sure."
"Well I'm ready if you are sir."
"Good attitude. Right then, let's start."
"DUEL!" they both shouted at the same time.
Zeke: 4000
Proctor: 4000
Both player drew their hand of five cards. "Okay, since you're applying I'll let you go first."
"Thank you. My draw!"
Zeke draws his sixth card and examines his hand. He has three monsters, two spells and one trap.
"Let's see here. Think I'll bring you out." He goes to reach for one of his monsters to summon it, but a voice cut him off.
"WHAT!? You'd dare summon him, instead of your GOD!?"
Zeke sighs before reaching for another card in his hand. "Fine, you win Kuroto."
"I summon Kamen Rider Genm in ATK mode!"
The silhouette of a man appears on the field, and he takes out a neon green bulky belt buckle with a pink panel on the front, the Gamer Driver. He puts the Drive to his waist and a belt straps around him, he takes out a small black device which looks to resemble a game cartridge the label on the cartridge reads Might Action X and shows a small chibi character wearing goggles and has high spikey hair.
He presses the button, and the cartridge calls out…
MIGHTY ACTION X!
The silhouette flips the cartridge on his middle finger so that it faces downwards. "Grade 0, Henshin!" He inserts it into the slot of the Driver and pulls open the panel, with a selection screen of characters surrounding him and he selects the one in front of him.
GASHATTO!
GACHAN! LEVEL UP!
MIGHTY JUMP! MIGHTY KICK! MI~GHT~Y ACT~ION X!
A digital purple screen came from the driver and passes through the silhouette, what emerged afterwards was a more humanoid version of the chibi. He wore a black body suit with silver lining going up his legs to his chest and on his chest is a video game style health bar with four buttons red, blue, yellow and green. The boots and shoulder pads are a dark purple and the arms have to same silver lining going up it. The helmet looks like to head of the chibi character and has spikey black hair slicked to one side, he has a goggle like ornament around his dark red eyes. On his back is the same head but much larger and has no eyes.

"I'll clear this game, even if it means using continues!" He yells, doing his usual pose. "Now it is time for me to show my godly talents!"
GASHACON BREAKER!
Appearing in his hand is a white and pink mallet, on the side is a bright pink A button and a bright green B button. On top of the mallet is pinks spikes, making it look like a Mohawk. He presses the pink button, and a sharp blade unfolds from the Mohawk.
JA KIN!
Genm laughs and goes to attack the proctor. "Genm wait!" He suddenly falls over, his weapon falling from his grasp.
"You can't attack, I went first. You have to wait a turn." Genm gets up and gives off a nervous laugh before standing and bowing to the proctor.
"Sorry about that." He says sweat dropping.
"That's some card you've got there. Don't think I've ever heard of a Kamen Rider before."
"Well they're very rare, I've got the only copies of them actually."
Up in the seats, Jaden and Syrus were amazed by the monster Zeke summoned. Well mostly Jaden.
"Whoa, that card looks sweet!"
In other seats, a group of three boys in blue blazers weren't as impressed.
"Hey Chazz, you ever hear of a Kamen Rider before?" the one with spikey hair asks the middle one.
Chazz had long black hair that was struck up, with a very cocky looking face.
"Must be a new archetype, ah who cares about, they're probably just some fancy cards that kid's got. Doesn't matter to me. Let the reject duel with what he wants."
Up in the stands, two students were watching our main duellist. One was male with mid-back dark blue hair and is wearing a white blazer with blue lining. The other is female with long blonde hair, she's wearing a girl's version of the blue and white uniform.
"That seems like an interesting card, doesn't it Zane?"
"We can be impressed by it when we see what it can do Alexis."
Back to the field.
"It's my turn now. I draw!" The proctor drew his sixth card and reached for another in his hand. "I summon red gadget in DEF mode!"
Appearing on the proctors' field is a small red robot with a big silver gear on its back.

"And with his special effect, I can add Yellow gadget to my hand." Reaching to his deck a card stuck out from it and he added it to his hand.
"Next I'll play Double summon, this allows me to summon again this turn. Thanks to that, I'll now summon Boost-up Soldier Dread Dynamo in ATK mode!"
"Oh crud."
Standing on the proctors' field is a giant brown and silver robot with a large hole in the middle of its chest, looking as if something can fit in there.

"This machine may look odd, but if you look a little closer…" As he finished saying that, Red gadget inserted itself into the hole in Dread Dynamo, and its attack rose.
'Boost-up Soldier Dread Dynamo' (ATK: 0000-2000)
"Dread Dynamo! Attack Genm!"
The machine let out a mechanised hiss and charged to Genm. He reeled back his fist and it collided with Genm's chest, causing him to cry in pain and explode into pixels.
Zeke: 4000-3600
"With that, I'll place a card face down, and end my turn." A holographic card appears behind Dread Dynamo face down, hiding whatever it is.
"Then it's my turn." Zeke draws his next card, and a purple pipe emerges from the ground with the words 'continue' on it in multiple flashing colours. What happened next surprised all. Genm hoped from the pipe and landed in a crouched pose.
"Hey, what's going on here? I destroyed him."
"Well you see, Genm's special effect allows me to summon him form the graveyard once per turn if he's in there." Zeke explained, much to the proctors dismay.
"You can't possibly defeat… one who has transcended to true GODHOOD!" Genm threw back his head and let out a maniacal laughter.
"Kuroto, do I have to get Poppy to shut you up?" Genm instantly stopped laughing and stiffened. He looked to Zeke and clasped his hands together in a praying like manner. "Please anything but that. I don't want to be back in her Driver!"
"Anyway, I summon Amazon Rider Omega in ATK mode!" Another silhouette appeared on Zeke's field, this one having a belt that looked more metallic than plastic. On the front are two red eyes and two handles sticking out of each side.
"UUUUUUURRRRRRAAAAAAAGGGGGH!" He roars out twisting the left handle.
OMEGA!
"AMAZON!" He shouted as an explosion of green fire and steam exploded around him, causing some of the audience to cover their face from the amount of wind blowing everywhere.
What emerged from the green steam and fire was a reptilian humanoid with emerald green skin decorated with red stripes across his shoulders and thighs. His abdomen is bright yellow and is pushed up to make it look more muscular. The gauntlets and boots are black, with spikes coming off of them, and spikes coming from his back. His head has blood red eyes, a sliver mouth plate and a small horn on his head with an orange tip.

Omega growled and got into a fighting position.
"It's a strange looking monster, but still not strong enough to defeat my Dread Dynamo."
"That's what you think."
The Proctor just looked at him, a questionable look on his face. "What do you mean?"
"Well that would just be Omega's special effect, when he attacks a monster whose ATK points are higher than its own, he gets double his ATK points."
"Now Omega, attack Boost-up Soldier Dread Dynamo, with Violent Punish!"
'Omega' (ATK: 1200-2400)
Omega rushes to Dread Dynamo and twists the left handle again.
VIOLENT PUNISH!
Omega jumps to about head height of the robot, his spikes on his right gauntlet extending a little as he brings down his arm, cutting through the metal body of the Boost soldier, splitting it in half.
Proctor: 4000-3600
'Omega' (ATK: 2400-1200)
When the smoke cleared, Red gadget was still standing on the field in DEF mode. "If Boost up Soldier Dread Dynamo is destroyed when equipped with a Gadget monster, that monster still remains on the field."
"Well Genm will just have to finish him off. Attack, with Mighty Critical Strike."
Genm gave off a small laughter and took his Gashat out of is driver
GASHUN!
And inserts it into the Kimewaza slot on the side of the belt.
GASHATTO!
KIMEWAZA!
He presses the button again, and his leg was coated in grey and black digital energy.
MIGHTY! CRITICAL STRIKE!
Genm jumps to the air and preforms a mid-air kick aimed for Red gadget.
"Activate trap card! Negate attack!" The face down card revealed a trap that showed a swirling vortex.
The vortex appeared and Genm's attack collided with that, stopping him in his tracks. The attack caused an explosion sending him flying and lands face first.
"I place a card face down. And end my turn."
A face down card appeared on Zeke's field behind Genm, he gets up rubbing the back of his head.
"My draw. First I'll play Swords of Revealing light." With the card placed on the Duel disk, a fence of swords made of pure light fell from the sky and caged the two Riders
Omega growled and shielded his eyes. "Ah, that's bright."
Genm however… "DO YOU THINK THIS CAN HOLD ME?!" He grabs the swords and is instantly shocked by them, making him let go.
"This card stops your monsters attacking for three turns. Next, I'll summon Yellow gadget in ATK mode!"
Next to Red gadget came a small yellow robot, and like Red gadget, has a gear on its back.

"With his effect I am able to add Green gadget to my hand. I place one card face down, and end my turn."
The face down card appeared, and the swords dimmed a little.
"My draw."
Zeke looked over his hand, it wasn't a very good one that's for sure.
"Guess I can only use this. I play the spell card, Ex-aid Level Up!" The spell card he used shows the Gamer Driver with two Gashats inside. "This card lets me take any Ex-aid series Riders I have on my field and lets my bump them up to their next form. So I now sacrifice Genm to summon, Kamen Rider Genm lvl X-0 in ATK mode!"
Genm closes the panel on his Driver and pulls out another Gashat. This one white with a label reading Dangerous Zombie, the label showing a character who looks like he's gone through the zombie apocalypses with multiple undead surrounding him.
DANGEROUS ZOMBIE!
"Grade X-0, Henshin!"
He inserts the Gashat into the second slot and pulls open the panel.
GASHATTO!
GACHAN! LEVEL UP!
MIGHTY JUMP! MIGHTY KICK! MI~GHT~Y ACT~ION X!
A GACHA!
DANGER! DANGER! DEATH THE CRISIS! DANGEROUS ZOMBIE!
Black smoke covered Genm, and the two game screens went in front of the cloud. Silence was all that was heard as static was crackling in the cloud.
Just then, a white hand cracked through the screen, soon followed by another and then a foot. Soon the whole new body of Genm crashed through the game screen.
The body suit is black with white in some places, the leg armour is white and in the shape of a leg bone. The arms have grey armour on the fore arm that has small nubs on them and the left shoulder pad is balled with spikes. The chest plate is half covered, only showing the health bar, which is empty and cracked. The helmet looks like the original, but now has black and white hair. One eye is red and the other is pale blue.

"I place one more card face down and end my turn."
"Draw. Now I summon Green gadget in ATK mode." One more robot came to the field, this one having a gear in its stomach. "With his effect I can take another Red gadget from my deck."
"Next I play my face down card, Stronghold the Moving Fortress!" His face down flipped to show a trap that had a picture of a giant robot. The robot then came to the field in DEF mode.

The three gadgets floated to the three slots in Stronghold, and his ATK suddenly rose.
'Stronghold' (ATK: 0000-3000)
"One con about using this card, is that it has to be in DEF mode when first summoned. End turn."
The Swords of Revealing Light fade away, leaving the area open.
"Come on deck, don't fail me now." He draws his next card, and smiles at what he got. "Now I summon Kamen Rider OOO in ATK mode!"
(Insert theme: TaToBa Regret nothing Tighten up)
Another silhouette comes to the field, he takes out a small rectangular black and blue belt buckle with three coin shaped slots, the OOOs Driver. Putting the buckle to his waist and a belt wrapped around him. He then take out three different coloured medals, one red with a hawk, one yellow with a tiger, and one green with a grasshopper. He slots in the medals, red first, yellow second, green last. He tilts the buckle at an angle and grabs a scanner on the side of his belt, and scans the medals.
"Henshin!"
TAKA!
TORA!
BATTA!
Three rows of different coloured medals rotate around the silhouette, the one closets to its head is red, the one on his chest is yellow, and the one on his legs is green
TA-TO-BA! TATOBA! TA-TO-BA!
The three medals merge together to make a crest of sorts, and lunges into his chest.
The suit he now wears is mostly black with green legs on the calf and green lining going up to the waist. The torso has yellow gauntlets with claws folded on the fore arm, and yellow lining going to the shoulder. The head had a red bird shaped face plate and green eyes. On the centre of the chest is the circler crest, the top is a red hawk, the middle is the yellow head of a tiger, and the bottom is a green grasshopper.

"OOO's special effect gives him 100 ATK for every Rider monster card on the field."
'OOO' (ATK: 2000-2300)
"Next I play my face down, Riders together!" The face down revealed a spell card with two armoured figures shaking hands. "This card lets me summon a Kamen Rider if I have another on my field." Zeke takes another card and slaps it on the Duel Disk.
"So I summon Kamen Rider W in ATK mode!"
This time two silhouettes appear standing next to each other, both of them wearing a red belt with two slots facing upwards. The silhouettes bring out two USB devices, one green with a capital C, and a black one with a capital J. The two silhouettes pressed the buttons and they called out…
CYCLONE!
JOCKER!
"Henshin!" the silhouette on the right inserted his green memory and it appeared on the left's belt, he collapsed and then disappeared. The one on the left inserted his memory and pulled the belt apart.
CYCLONE JOKER!
Wind blew around him, and soon armour of two colours. The left side is black with a purple zig-zag going across his chest. The right side is green with a golden zig-zag going across his chest. Going down his entire body is a thick silver line, his eyes are red, and on top of his head is a silver W. "Now… count up your sins." Two voices came from him, as he pointed with his left hand and his eyes lit with each word.

'OOO' (ATK: 2300-2400)
"Now to the attack phase. OOO attack Stronghold!"
OOO nodded before grabbing the scanner and scanned the medals again.
SCANNING CHARGE!
He leapt to the air, three massive rings appearing below him, the same colours of his medals.
"Seiya!"
He came down, each ring giving him more power to his attack, and then crashed into Stronghold, kicking him, making him explode and sending the gadgets out.
"Now W, attack Red gadget, Joker extreme!"
"You heard him, Philip." The left side of W said.
"Alright, Shotaro." The right side agreed.
W takes out the Joker memory and inserts it in theslot on the side of his belt.
JOKER! MAXIUM DRIVE!
W starts to hover above the ground a little, before catapulting to Red gadget, splitting in half so the left half is in front.
"Joker extreme!"
The two kicked Red gadget causing an explosion.
Proctor: 3600-3100
"Next, Omega. Attack Green gadget."
'Omega' (ATK: 1200-2400)
VIOLENT PUNISH!
Omega rushed to Green gadget and thrusted his arm through its chest, causing it to explode.
Proctor: 3100-2100
"Finally, Genm attack Yellow gadget. Dangerous Critical finish!"
GASHUN!
Genm takes the Dangerous Zombie Gashat and his Gashacon Breaker.
He puts the Gashat in the Kimewaza slot of the Breaker.
GASHATTO!
KIMEWAZA!
The blade of the Breaker is covered in bone white digital energy, and he pulls the trigger.
DANGEROUS! CRITICAL FINISH!
He runs to the last robot and slashes it across its body, multiple HIT markers appear like in a video game. With one more slash, and a PERFECT, the robot explodes. Causing the Proctor to lose more life points.
Proctor: 2100-1100
"Don't think I'm done yet. Next I'll activate W's Dark effect, this lets my inflict 200 points of damage for every monster I have on the field."
W's left fist was engulfed in purple flames, and he sprinted to the Proctor. When he got close enough, he punched the Proctor in the stomach.
Proctor: 1100-300
"I'll set my last card face down. And end my turn."
Zeke took his last card and slipped it in the Duel Disk, and the holographic card appeared.
"Not bad kid. Not bad at all." He drew his next card and sighed.
"I end my turn."
Zeke smiled and drew his card. "Genm, end this. And get us into Duel Academy!"
Genm laughed once more before running to the proctor and punching him.
Proctor: 300-0000
(End song)
The holograms disappeared, and Zeke was dancing around happily.
"I did it, I did it! With skill, and triumph, and vim and vigour!"
"Congratulations applicant. Welcome to Duel Academy."
"Thank you sir!" He walks over to the proctor and shakes his hand.
Zeke turned to see the crowd stunned and some amazed by his cards. He tried to ignore them by tilting his hat over his face a little to hide the shyness on his face, and started to walk back to the observer seats.
"Come on Zeke, you should be happy." OOO said appearing next to him as a spirit.
"I now Eiji, it's just that I can take having so many eyes on me at the same time."
"NO, NO, NO! This will not do!" Genm then appeared as spirit as well. "We can't have God's prodigy being this shy."
"Give him a break Kuroto, he's always had this amount of shyness."
"Guys please stop, at least we made it in."
The two spirits disappeared and Zeke made his way back to the seats.
Above all the students, there was a special seating area where the teachers and other proctors. One of them looked more like a mascot than a teacher. Like Chazz he has a blue school blazer, but has some gold shoulder plates and trimmings, along with a ruffled pink collar. He also has long blonde hair in a ponytail and wore makeup.
'Another rookie for the Academy.' He said in his thoughts. 'I'm just glad that this was the last duel, otherwise there could be more slackers coming in to.'
He prepared to leave, but a man in black suit came to inform him of something.
"I'm sorry to interrupt. But one last applicant has arrived to take his exam Mr Crowler."
Crowler looked offended by what the man said. "Excuse me? Did you just call me, 'mister'?"
"I'm sorry. I'm new here, Miss…"
"I have a Ph.D. in duelling to earn the title 'Doctor' thank you. Now tell the truant that he'll have to come back next year." The others looked at him as if he lost his mind.
"Come on Dr. Crowler, we have time for one more."
"Yes, let's give this duellist his shot."
"He was just a bit late, that's all."
"LATE IS RUDE!" Crowler screams, slamming his hands on the desk in front of him. "I HAVE NO TIME FOR SLACKERS!"
Some ones phone started to ring, and Crowler reached into his pocket to bring it out. "WHAT?!"
"It's Sheppard."
Crowler changed his attitude from angry to pleasant. "Oh, Chancellor Sheppard. How nice of you to call."
"Just calling to make sure everything is running smoothly. We wouldn't want a repeat of what happened last year. When you cut a third of our student applicants because some called you 'Mr.' or 'Mrs.'? Never mind, just make sure everyone gets a fair shot."
"Yes, o-of course sir." He hung up and started mumbling. "Furry-chinned windbag; doesn't he realize that there are enough talentless flunkies at this Academy? But he's the boss, and if he wants to give this scrim shaker a duel… fine." He then stood up and began to walk away. "Pardon me gentleman, I'll be right back."
"But sir, who will be the boys duelling proctor? And which exam deck should we use?" One of the other teachers ask him.
Crowler huffed and walked away. "Leave it to me." He pulls out a deck from his blazer and grins evilly.
Zeke makes his way back to the seats, were Syrus and Jaden confronts him.
"Hey man, that was a great duel." Jaden ran up to him excitedly.
"Heh, thanks. My name's Zeke, Zeke Vale."
"Jaden Yuki."
"Bastion Misawa. The Duellist that went before you."
"Nice to meet the two of you."
"By the way dude, the Kamen Riders you used were sweet!" Jaden exclaimed happily.
"I must agree. The way you had them work together was a good strategy, especially with the effects of both the monsters and spells."
"Well, I knew when I drew W I just had to use the Rider's together. The image of victory just came to my head."
"Jaden Yuki, please report to Duelling Field #4. Again, Jaden Yuki to Duelling Field #4 please."
"Go time!" Jaden begins to make his way down to the field. But is stopped by bastion for a moment.
"Wait. Before you go, what did you mean by me being second best, and Zeke being third best? Who's the first?"
Jaden smiled and pointed to himself with his thumb. "Why yours truly. It's what I do best." He then continued down the stairs.
"Third best?" Zeke tilts his head a little looking to Bastion.
"Long story."
"Jaden sure seems confident though." Syrus speaks up.
"He's going to need to be. Look who he's up against." Bastion pointed to the field Jaden's heading to. Inside was the ponytailed headmaster.
"Who's she?" Zeke asks.
"HE is Dr Crowler. He's in charge of these exams and also the head of the top dorm in the Academy."
Record scratch!*
"That's a guy?!"
"Yes. And I've heard that last year, he cut a third of the applicants, just because they called him either 'Mr' or 'Mrs'.
"Wow. Just… wow."
"Guys, it's starting." Syrus got their attention, and they all soon looked to field where Jaden will duel.
On the field Crowler's being prepared for his duel. Attached to his blazer is a unique looking Duel Disk. The part that holds his deck and graveyard slots are strapped on his chest, while the tray where the cards go is being held like a guitar.
"Alright! Test time!" Crowler said looking to Jaden. "So son, your name?"
Jaden stood at attention. "Uh… Jaden, Jaden Yuki."
"Well 'Uh, Jaden Yuki' I'm Doctor Vellian Crowler, Department Chair and Techniques Professor here at Duel Academy."
"Wow. A Department Chair." He rubbed the back of his neck with a hearty laugh. "I had now idea. From the way you were dressed I thought you were some kind of Academy mascot." Crowler just sweat dropped from the comment.
"Now that he mentions it," The boy with glasses sitting next to Chazz said.
"That guy's got some lip, uh Chazz?" The spike haired asked.
Chazz just looked to the field, not liking what Jaden said to Crowler.
"Duel vest on!" Crowler said activating it, drawing five cards. While Jaden looked in amazement.
"Hey, that's some sweet gear teach. How do I get one of those?"
"Oh, a lot of hard work, high marks and dedication." Crowler answered. 'Of course, you have to be accepted first. Which I will make sure you don't'.
"Well I'm ready." Jaden said activating his Duel Disk.
"So, let's duel!" The both shouted.
Jaden: 4000
Crowler: 4000
"Here goes." Jaden drew his sixth card and looked at his hand. "Sweet, I'm going to summon Elemental Hero Avian in DEF mode!"
Coming to Jaden's side of the field was a green feathery super hero with wings.

"I'll also throw down a face down." A reverse card appeared on the field. "Alright, get your game on!" he said excitedly.
"Yes of course." Dr Crowler said dismissively, drawing his card. 'Don't tell me what to do. After all, since I'm using my own personal deck rather than those puny test ones, I'll be calling all the shots. I'll fail that miserable little brat and send him home in no time flat.' "I think I'll start out nice and easy, by playing the spell card Confiscation!"
"Okay, what does it do?"
"What it does, is allow me to pay 1000 life points to take a look at your hand and toss one of your cards to the graveyard." As his explanation finished, holographic images of Jaden's card, those being Monster Reborn, The Warrior Returning Alive, Hero Signal and Polymerization.
Crowler: 4000-3000
"Ah yes, I remember some of these from when I was a naïve rookie. Now which one shall I banish? I know, Monster Reborn to the graveyard!" Jaden discarded his card. "Next I'll set two cards face down. And last but not least, I play Heavy Storm! This spell destroys spell and trap card that's out on the field." Suddenly a massive gust of wind picked up, blowing across the field destroying Jaden's face down as well as both of Crowler's.
"Whoopsie, did you forget that you had two cards on the field as well?" Jaden said teasingly.
"Now, now young scholar, you must not speak out of turn." Crowler waggled his finger. After that, dark clouds began to form around his side of the field.
"Hey what's happening?"
"Nothing's happening, not yet anyway!" Crowler grinned. Just then two yellow worn like creatures appeared on the field. "But that's about to change."
The audience was awe struck by Crowler's move, but Syrus was just confused by it.
"Could someone tell me what happened?"
"Those two trap cards Dr Crowler had out on the field were called Statue of the Wicked." Bastion explained. "It's a special trap card that creates a viscous monster token when destroyed by a card effect. That's why he played Heavy Storm"
"And I can see a lot of red lights here." Zeke chipped in. "That isn't a test deck Crowler's using. Test decks do not have such rare cards."
"Of course! And they change the fate of the duel with no costs!" Bastion realised.
"Meaning?" Syrus asked them both, still confused.
"He's using his own personal deck."
He wasn't the only one with that conclusion though.
"Crowler must be using his own deck in this duel." The boy with glasses sitting next to Chazz said.
"Then this duel is over. No one can beat the deck of an expert like Dr Crowler." The spike haired kid added. "I think I'm going to enjoy Crowler wiping the floor with that kid. I just wished they treated all other second rate duellists that apply at this academy the same way."
"What an elitist snob." Alexis said. "Bullying some kid with his very best cards."
"You're too soft Alexis." Zane spoke up. "I just hope we get to see that legendary rare card Crowler has stashed in that deck of his."
"Ready for your next lesson?" Crowler asked Jaden.
"You bet! I can't remember the last time learning was this much fun!" Jaden happily laughed.
Crowler took that more negatively than positively. "Yes, well I'm quite the teacher thank you." His two token began to glow and suddenly burst into flames. "And now I sacrifice my two Wicked Tokens to summon, Ancient Gear Golem!" An enormous machine monster arose from the ground, its chest exposed with gears sticking out. Its head is in the shape of that of a gladiator helmet.

All members of the audience were amazed by the monster that was summoned. "That's it, that's his legendary card!" Alexis gasped.
"Now it looks like we're about to find out what makes it so legendary." Zane added.
"Now, now, I hope you're not too scared of my legendary Ancient Gear Golem." Crowler sarcastically said to Jaden.
"No way, I've always wanted to take one on!" Jaden excitedly said, like a kid on Christmas day.
Saying that the audience was shocked would be an understatement, they were beyond shocked, including Syrus and Zeke. "Jaden's either really brave or really stupid."
"He could be both."
"He's staring down a legendary rare monster like he doesn't have a care in the world." Zane commented incredulously. "I guess youth and inexperience does have its benefits after all."
"Give it a rest Zane. At least the kid's showing some back bone." Alexis said.
"There won't be much to show after this."
Crowler cackled as he gave the order to his golem. "Golem attack! Mechanized Melee!" The golem gave a groan as the gears in its chest began to turn. Its one eye glowed for a second and it reared back its massive fist and struck Avian, shattering him in the process.
"Oh man, Jaden's defence monster didn't stand a chance!" Syrus complained. "Its DEF points were way to low. This doesn't look good."
"And it's about to look a lot worse." Bastion added. "When Ancient Gear Golem attacks a monster in DEF mode, the difference between its ATK points and the defending monsters DEF points are dealt to the opponent as damage."
A transparent version of Gear Golems fist slams through Jaden's body.
Jaden: 4000-2000
Crowler notices that Jaden's body is shaking. "Now don't feel bad." He taunted, "This is the top duelling school in the country, some people simply aren't…" Crowler's voice was trailed off as soon as Jaden started bursting out in laughter.
"Now I really wanna come to come to this school now! You really know your stuff teach!"
This took Crowler by surprise, before scowling angrily. 'Doesn't he take a hint? He will not be permitted to pass this exam. And he will certainly not make a mockery of my deck!'
'Just look at him tremble.' Jaden said in his thoughts as he reached for a card in his deck. 'He really must be impressed by me.' Just as he was about to draw his card, a soft cooing was heard.
Drawing the card, he paused for a second to look at it. 'Winged Kuriboh?' He then remembered how he got this card.
Flashback
"Something tells me that this belongs to you."
End flashback
'You know, something tells me I'm starting to believe that too.' Whether it was his imagination or not, it seemed that Winged Kuriboh winked at him. 'Um, alright. I'll take that as a sign to play ya. Yeah defiantly.'
"Okay! I summon Winged Kuriboh in DEF mode!" To Jaden's field came a small winged ball of brown fur, it had small legs with three claws on each of them. "And I'll place one card facedown. Not bad huh teach?"
Crowler merely laughed at the small creature in front of his massive machine. "No not bad, but you must understand that I'm a master technician, a Kuriboh is rather pedestrian, even one with wings. You see its DEF points are still no match for my Ancient Gear Golem, it's a textbook mistake, don't feel bad. Now let's proceed." Crowler drew his next card, but didn't bother to play anything. "With the legendary Ancient Gear Golem, attack that Kuriboh with Mechanized Melee!"
Once again the golem reared back it fist and struck the small creature, causing it to shatter.
Jaden covered his face from the shock wave. 'Sorry Winged Kuriboh.'
To Crowler's dismay and confusion, Jaden's life points didn't drop at all. "Check your gear, your life point haven't changed."
"My gear's fine, on the turn Winged Kuriboh is destroyed I take zero damage."
Crowler's eyes widened and he gritted his teeth.
"How about that? A technique the good doctor didn't know."
"No one can be expected to know every technique Alexis, especially one as obscure as that." Zane commented.
"Yeah, well that kid sure knew it."
Back to the duel, Jaden just took his Winged Kuriboh card and put it in the graveyard. "Fine, fine, I guess your lame little monster saved you there." Crowler remarked, getting his snarky attitude back.
"Hey slow down there teach! You may have beat him, but that doesn't give you the right to call him lame!"
"Oh yes, I forget how attached you new duellists get to our monsters, I'm sorry."
"Yeah, well you should be. Because by attacking my Winged Kuriboh, you set off a trap card. One of my favourites too, Hero Signal!" The card revealed a darkened city sky with a bright light shining with the shadow of the letter H in it. Just then, that same light shone in the arena, causing Crowler to gasp,
"And that brings out my second Elemental Hero, Burstinatrix!" Dark crimson flames burst from Jaden's field, what came was a female Elemental Hero, with light grey skin wearing a red body suit and a crown like ornament.

"My turn!" He said drawing his next card. "Alright Winged Kuriboh, this next one's gonna be for you." Jaden looked at his hand and an idea popped into his head.
"Here goes nothing. First off, I'm gonna brig back Avian to my hand, with the spell card The Warrior Returning Alive! And now I'm going to summon him to the field." Avian came back, spreading his wings.
"Oh okay, another amateurish mistake. But this is good, this is good. Now would anyone like to tell me what our little friend here..." Crowler began to taunt but was cut off by Jaden.
"Now actually I wasn't done yet, see I know my two heroes aren't very powerful by themselves, but if I can form them together it's another story. And I have just the card to unite them, Polymerization! Join Avian and Burstinatrix." The two heroes jumped in the air and fused together. "Fusion Summon!" After they fused a new monster appeared, taking some features from both Avian and Burstinatrix. It had one of Avian's wings and a few of Burstinatrix's colours. The only new thing was the dragon head on the right arm and the tale.
"There he is the Elemental Hero Flame Wingman! I hope your Gear Golem is ready for a clash of the titans."

"So teach, what do ya think?"
"I think you're duelling very well, for an amateur, but next time try playing a monster that has more ATK points than what's already out."
"What's he mean?" Syrus asked
"He means that the Wingman's ATK are no match for his Golems 3000." Bastion answered. "Shame too because when the Wingman destroys a monster, that monsters ATK points are dealt as damage to its owner."
"Wait, you mean they're deducted right out of his Life points? Oh that would have been a great way for Jaden to turn things around."
"Let's just hope that one card he has can turn the tables." Zeke added.
"Alright young scholar. I don't mean to rush you, but I am a busy man, are you done yet?" Crowler sighed.
"Of course I'm not done yet!" Jaden took his last card and opened the field spell port in his Duel Disk. "And of course I knew my Wingman had less ATK points than you Golem. That's why I'm activating the field spell, Skyscraper!" After he played that card, buildings arose from the ground. In the middle of it all stood Crowler's Golem, looking like a giant amongst the city. While Jaden's Wingman was perched atop the highest building arms crossed, looking like a badass.
"Alright Flame Wingman!" Jaden called out to his monster. "Show off those heroics, and attack that Ancient Gear Golem!" Wingman looked down from his perch to the Golem and dropped.
"Fine with me, bring him on! This silly little Skyscraper field spell hasn't lowered my Golem's ATK points by even one!" Crowler called out, not worried at all.
Flame Wingman landed on the pavement, but instantly jump back to the sky. "You know what teach? You're right; this field hasn't lowered Golems ATK points. But what it's done is raised my Elemental Hero Flame Wingman's, by a grand total of 1000!"
Crowler now had fear written all over his face. "Wait Time Out!" He shrieked, but it didn't stop Wingman from bringing the heat.
'Flame Wingman' (ATK: 2100-3100)
"Go! Sky dive scorcher!" Wingman did a series of flips in the air before diving straight down, fire engulfing his body as if broke through the atmosphere.
Crowler looked like he was having a heart attack, his eyes were wide open and he was ruffling his hair crazily.
When the hero did come down, he crashed his dragon arm into it breaking it into pieces.
Crowler: 3000-2900
The crowed was in shock. While Syrus, Alexis and Zeke were wide eyed, Chazz and Bastion's pupils were shrunk.
"This can't be! He was my very best card!" A piece of debris then fell on Crowler's head.
"And cause of my Wingman's superpower, the ATK points of that Golem are dealt straight to you as damage. Sweet huh?"
"No way." Crowler looked up to see that his Golem started to fall apart and it soon collapsed on top of him, depleting the rest of his life points.
Crowler: 2900-0000
The holograms disappeared and Jaden did a two fingered salute with his index and middle finger. "That's game! Guess I passed the test huh teach?"
"Impossible... there's no way this delinquent could have beat me!" Crowler growled.
"It must be dumb luck! No way Crowler would lose to some flunky!" Chazz said with an irritated look on his face.
Alexis smiled at Jaden's victory. "That kid's got a future here, wow." She notices Zane walk away.
"Alright! Jaden won!" Syrus cheered happily.
"He sent those ancient gears to the scrap yard." Zeke grinned.
'Nice. I could use a little competition.' Bastion said in his own thoughts.
Like Zeke, Jaden was dancing around his field, waving to the crowd around him. After that Jaden took out his Winged Kuriboh card to look at it. "From now on, we're gonna be partners." Again, he could swear that it winked at him.
