He threaded his fingers through the blonde strands, the man's cowboy hat hooked on the corner of the couch arm rest. The blonde man was sleeping. His chest rose steadily and contently, long breaths and short exhales, slow and steady. Mahiru smiled down at the pale and sharp face of his boyfriend, his other hand resting on Mikuni's folded hands on his stomach, feeling it rise and fall with his chest. Mahiru was wearing sweatpants and a plain t-shirt, having stayed the night. And soon, Mahiru thought sadly, he would have to leave for his own home. He sighed, leaning against the back of the couch, eyes closed and his thoughts wistful.

Minutes passed, his hand running through Mikuni's hair carefully and soothingly. His hair was soft and straight, his bangs trying to fall back in place. It was quiet. Mikuni's flatmate Jeje was somewhere, off doing his own thing and Kuro was with him, Mahiru knew, but he had the odd feeling that Kuro might actually be at home. Probably, he thought lightly.

He yawned, eyes half-lidded. His thoughts started to slip, the morning so lazy…

He woke up maybe an hour later, definitely not where he had fallen asleep. And there weren't arms or warmth along his back.

Mahiru turned his body to face Mikuni, his arms relaxing around his waist. Mikuni was smiling when Mahiru saw him, brown eyes murky and his hair a mess.

"Hello." He whispered, soft and quiet.

Mahiru smiled, snuggling to his chest with a happy sigh. Mikuni's warmth was crazy, everywhere and not. It was weird but Mahiru was comfortable at the least. Mikuni chuckled, his hand coming to rub his arm lovingly.

"Hey, get up." He placed a kiss in his hair, inhaling the sweet smell of shampoo. He laughed. "I still can't believe you use women's shampoo."

Mahiru flushed. "It smells good," He grumbled. "Leave me be."

Mikuni laughed and suddenly, he rolled them, Mahiru staring at the grinning Mikuni. He also stared at his chest, too. His hands raised to settle on Mikuni's hips, the blonde leaning over him to smile and stare into his eyes, so warm and content.

"We don't have all day." Mikuni spoke and Mahiru trembled lightly.

"You're being dramatic," Mahiru replied weakly, and Mikuni smirked, leaning in closer.

"Huh-uh," he raised an eyebrow, brown eyes shining. "I know you want to stay with me." He teased.

Mahiru groaned, cheeks flushing. Mikuni laughed, pressing his lips to Mahiru's cheek, a smile on his lips and the tips of his blonde hair tickling mahiru's face.

For the rest of the day they ended up talking about random things and opinions they had on a book they read together and sharing kisses occasionally and talking about how much they loved the other.

Mikuni tangled their fingers together, Mahiru's head tucked under his chin and cheesy loving smile's on their faces.

"I miss you already." Mahiru chirped randomly and Mikuni laughed.

"You haven't even left yet!"

Yeah, but that's just how much Mahiru loves his boyfriend.
