AN- Er. This was just a plot I came up with while listening to the Dixie
Chicks, so it probably is best read while listening to "Heartbreak Town"
and "Fly"
Summary: What if Piper and Leo gave up when the Elders said no???
Sitting on the hood of her old Ford Ranger, Piper stared blankly ahead at the fiery sunset. She breathed in and sighed deeply. Sometimes she got so lonely. Sure she had Jim, but she never got what she truly wanted. Leo Wyatt.
Flashback.
*"No Leo, I just can't do it!" "But Piper, they'll give you another white lighter and send me away." Leo's deep blue eyes pleaded desperately, but Piper had already made her decision. "I'm sorry Leo, really I am, I just don't think it would be right," Piper fought back tears that were gaining quickly. "Piper-don't think, just listen to your heart. I love you, Piper." Leo took hold of her arm gently, and Piper pulled away harshly, "That's the way it has to be."*
Piper brushed away the tear that slowly made its way down her pale cheek. "No going back right?" Piper said to herself. She was married, with two little girls. She sold P3 a long time ago and moved to Texas, where she met Jim. She assumed that Phoebe and Paige still lived in San Francisco, she hadn't spoken to them in months. "I guess I lost control of my life long ago." Piper made her way lazily to the pickup truck, climbed in, and set off.
"Phoebe!!! Have you seen the cat's food bowl???" Paige yelled up the stairs from the bottom of the banner. "Nope, sorry. Did you look in the dishwasher, I think Cole might've put it there last night after dinner," Phoebe continued tending to her newest baby, "Jeez, six months old, and already you weigh a ton, Coleden. Hey. that almost rhymes...... God I need to get out of the house." "Hello??? Phoebe, Paige, are you guys home???" Cole yelled as soon as he got inside. "Daddy!!!" The pitter-patter of small feet brought Cole's attention to his eldest daughter, Ella. "Ella!" Cole said as he swung the blond child around playfully," Where's your brother and Mommy?" "They're upstairs. Guess what, Daddy!" "What?!?" Cole said with child-like enthusiasm. Ella motioned for him to come closer so she could whisper in his ear, "Den started to crawl today!" "Really???" His daughter nodded, and he snapped his fingers. "Darn, and I missed it!" "It's OK, aunt Paige vijo-typed it!" "She what???" "I taped it for you!" Paige walked in, and gave Ella a hug. "Great, thanks. Listen, have you seen Pheebs lately?" "Upstairs, in the nursery is my guess," Paige nodded backwards. "Alright, I'm gonna go say hi," and with that Cole made his way up to his wife.
Please review this story. I know it's not that great, but I would really appreciate it. Thanks,
