A/N: This story I wrote while listening to "Nagareboshi" by Home Made Kazoku. I think this one actually stayed on subject nicely, and I like the way it turned out. It's still kind of short, but what can you do? Enjoy! I don't own anything!

"Hey Shikamaru, have you ever just sat back and watched the stars?" Temari asked one night as she and Shikamaru were walking around the village. It was dark outside and the stars were twinkling above them. Shikamaru turned his head to look at the blonde haired girl next to him.

"Not really. I'm more of a clouds person. Why do you ask?" Shikamaru asked Temari. It wasn't like her to start a conversation with him, much less about something like the stars.

"You should try it sometime. It's really nice." Temari said in reply, confusing Shikamaru. What on earth was she talking about?

"What are you talking about, woman?" Shikamaru said, stopping to look at her. She was looking up at the night sky and there was an innocent gleam in her eyes as she gazed upon the shining stars. Shikamaru sighed as he realized she wasn't going to answer, and followed her gaze upward. Almost immediately, he was entranced with the beauty. Temari nodded her head towards him.

"Beautiful, isn't it?" She asked. Shikamaru agreed silently and they continued walking down the street.
