She stood there staring through the window looking out into the blank empty world. She's been like that ever since her mother passed away about a week ago. Everyone thought she was too young to understand what was going on but she understood too well that's the problem. The day after her mother died she started seeing people, people that weren't there, people that didn't exist anymore. "Amelia you should go outside and play with some of the other kids" her nanny Elizabeth said. "I would but none of the kids are really there" Amelia said softly while turning to get her stuffed kitten off her bed. "Honestly Amelia for a six year old you don't really act like one" Elizabeth sighed. "And for an adult you sure don't act like one" Amelia snapped. Elizabeth looked at Amelia her eyes wide with shock, "You know ever since your mother died you've changed"

Amelia looked at Elizabeth eyes cold and emotionless. "How would you know if I changed if you didn't even know me to start off with" and before Elizabeth could say anything Amelia quickly walked out of her room and into the world she hated so much.

"Amelia, are you going to play with us" a girl with blond hair asked. "No" she answered. "Why not", the girls frowned. "Because you aren't really here" Amelia glared. The girl let out a squeak when she saw the red in Amelia soft blue eyes. "You know Amelia you're a cold little girl and with that you will be alone forever!" the little girl yelled. Amelia looked at the girl shrugged, "I already knew that". And with that Amelia walked down the empty streets and away from the sad empty mansion that the world had already forgotten.

10 years later

Amelia stood there looking at all the people that passed by her, trying to figure out who is real and who is dead. "Excuse me miss but would you like to but a flower" a boy holding a rose asked. "No" Amelia answered in a cold voice. "B-but" before the boy could say anything Amelia interrupted him. "No but's just go away" Amelia said. The boy looked at her with confused and hurt filled eyes. With out another word the boy turned and ran dissapearing into the crowed of people. Amelia sighed, tired for some reason. Maybe he was dead, Amelia thought to herself. For some reason everytime she was around the dead she always felt drained of energy. Maybe it was because the dead needed an large ammount of energy. Amelia was about to stand when suddenly the little boy came back. "Miss can I ask you something" the boy asked. "What". "How can you see me" he looked at her eyes full of curiosity. Amelia stayed quiet unsure how to answer and question that not even she knew the answer to. "I don't know" she said quietly. "You seem lonely" the little boy smiled. "Do I now" She raised an eyebrow and gave the little boy a small smile that shocked her for she hasn't smiled since she was six. "Yep" he laughed.
