Sam's Flat
I look into the eyes of the girl of my dreams.
The bright blue orbs standing out more than any other feature.
It's a rare occasion to find she would ever wear a dress, but before me I now witness such a wardrobe choice, captured.
I place my lips against hers, pulling back to find a smudge.
But it's not a smudge of her lipstick, no, not as I seek.
Instead, I must place her down gently as I reach for a wipe, saving my view of her head from the wrath of my face's moisture.
I pick up my 4 by 6 princess, the mission to be her knight in shining armor a success.
Never shall I mix her up with any others, an isolated album the only worthy object. For now, this version, slips behind plastic.
But soon, and very soon indeed, the deluxe life-size edition will wish to slide into my lonely arms.
