Hi, everyone. I decided to write a poem, not usually something i do :P I was reading the secret diary of ashley juergens the other day, the part when she found amy's poem filled diary. since she expresses her feelings through poems, i decided to write a poem about her point of view of her and ben breaking up. I'm a Ramy fan, trust me, but i just felt like writing this. set after amy talks to george, on the first day of school. enjoy! :)

Amy's Broken Poem

Amy walked into her room, with John in her arms, after that first day of just finished talking to her father, and glad that she got that conversation over with. She settled John in his play area, and sat in her birch coloured swivel chair. She took out her diary from the desk drawer. She flipped through the pages filled with poems, until she found a blank page. She took out a pen from her pencil case, and gripped it tightly. She stared at the board in front of her, filled with pictures of family and friends. She lifted a baby picture of John, and beneath it was a picture of her and Ben, at their 'wedding'. She smiled, remembering how ridiculous they were. Good memories flooded back into her thoughts. She then remembered that Ben wasn't her boyfriend anymore. He was Adrian's, since they are going to have a baby together. Water filled Amy's brown eyes, and took a deep breath. She then commenced her poem.

You Broke My Heart

You tore me apart,

Left me in the dark,

Like a cold night,

So many times I've cried,

You were my saviour,

But now I've became your HATER!

Everything is over and done,

But look at me and John!

How can we move on?

Ben,

You gotta understand,

You came up with an excuse,

To cut me loose,

I cry all night,

I have no appetite,

I have to see you at school,

It's not so cool,

I see you with Adrian,

I heard that you two are marryin'!

But we got married,

The vows were said,

Now I have to look so tough,

Wasn't I enough?

Our first kiss,

It wasn't a miss,

I loved you,

And I was always true,

I thought you loved me!

Why couldn't I be just Amy?

Now I realize,

You weren't first prize,

You tore my heart out twice,

I needed some advice!

Now the sun is coming up,

Time that I grow up,

For my son,

I must move on.

Now get out the door,

I don't want to see you no more,

I'm going to go on,

With Ricky and John,

My heart is now repaired…

I'm no longer scared.

Amy's hand was still shaking after she finished that last word. She can live her life without Ben. Life will go on. She slowly got up, and closed her journal. She looked at John. The sun was shinning on his beautiful face. A smile formed on his face as Amy picked him up. She sat down on her brown couch, and put her son on her lap. She grabbed a book off of her nightstand, Love You Forever, by Robert Munsch. As she read the loving words of the pages to John, she realized that everything would be ok, and it was ok to be sad over Ben, once in awhile.

She was no longer scared.
