A/N:

This fic is inspired by the song 'Once Upon a Time' by Sutton Foster. If you haven't heard it before, I highly recommend you check it out. It is truly a beautiful song.

The plans they made… All gone… The love they shared… Left behind…

Where did it all go? That perfect time when they had their whole lives ahead of them, a bright future to step out into and leave the shallow nepotism that was high school behind, and become adults?

Everything was there's, how happy they were together…

Now it was gone… Just gone.

Ever since the funeral, life had been one long continuous blur… It was then Sue realised what an impact Tommy had left in her life. She felt hollow, incomplete without his presence.

And so she always would, it seemed. The first love was always the hardest to get over, she had learnt that the hard way, through first hand experience.

Back then they were young, didn't have a care in the world. There were no consequences… No stakes, no looming threat of separation hanging above them. They just took it day by day, acting as though tomorrow wasn't there…

Sue knew this sounded like some cliche love story, star crossed lovers torn apart by fate or something cheesy like that…

She had always laughed at stories like those. They had seemed so unrealistic and cliche. She had never once thought that something similar could happen to her. It seemed so utterly fictional and fairytale-ish…

Well… She finally admitted, defeated. Their once upon a time never came again…
