Hanging out of bed, mindful not to drop the cigarette between his lips, Wufei sifted through the tangle of clothes on the floor. He found Duo's pants and fished around in the pockets until he found the other man's lighter. With a content sigh, Wufei righted himself and leaned back against the pillows.
"Happy Fourth," Wufei said, lighting up.
When he received no response, he glanced over at Duo and nudged his lover with an elbow. "Aren't you glad we stayed home?"
Duo's eyes were glazed over. "I saw sparks," he mumbled absently.
"I told you the Chinese invented fireworks."
