Chapter 1: New Gods in Town
Annabeths POV
"Heroes we the gods have news" said Zeus. Was it just her or did Zeus and the other gods look weak? Maybe it was because they had just returned from fighting the giants and Gaea. They had won the war though some of their friends had died like Hazel and Clarisse who were just some of the many. Annabeth turned her attention back to Zeus who was saying "The gods are dying and we are passing our powers and throwns to our children and demigod". Instantly chaos filled the thrown room of Olympus. Annabeth noticed a flaw in this plan. "Excuse me Lord Zeus but once there is a new genration of gods won't history repeat itself and the new gods have to fight another war?" she asked. Everyone quieted down to hear Zeus's response. Athena though answered "Maybe. We aren't sure because this never happened before but my guess is history is going to change but repeat itself at the same time". Annabeth wasn't convinced but she let it go. "We are going to chose the new Olympian gods". Poseidon stood up and said "Percy Jackson you are my heir and the new god of the ocean,horses,and heroes". Annabeth looked over at her boyfriend along with everyone else. Percy looked so shocked but he he walked over to his father and bowed. "Father I'm so honored but I will only accept if Annabeth becames a goddess and if you allow us to marry" Percy said. "I accept these terms" says Poseidon. "So do I" Athena stated. Then they swore on the river Styx. "Oh my gods. I'm going to get married" Annabeth said. "Only if you want to Annabeth" Percy replied. "Of course I will marry you Seaweed Brain" Annabeth declared crying. "Annabeth Chase you are my heir and the new goddess of wisdom, battle strategy, and architecture" Athena said, sounding like a proud mother. "Percy Jackson and Annabeth Chase I King Zeus appoint you to be the new rulers of Olympus" declared Zeus with his booming voice. "Also Jason Grace you will be my heir and god of the sky,storms,and time" finished Zeus. "Piper McLean you are like my heir and the new goddess of beauty,love,and persuasion" gushed Aphrodite. "Nico Di Angelo you are my heir to the thrown and will be an Olympian god of death, the underworld, and ghosts. My son I'm so proud that you earned yourself a spot on the Olympian Council" announced Hades with a hint of pride in his voice. "Frank Zhang you are my heir now that Clarisse is dead and the new god of war,weapons,and animals" said Ares slightly bored. "Thalia your the new goddess of hunting, maidens, and wild places" stated Artemis. "Reyna you'll be my heir and the goddess of marriage,mothers,and feelings" Hera said breezily. Reyna looked so shocked. "Leo Valdez you're the god of machines,forges,and fire" Hephaestus stated. "Katie goddess of nature,grains, and friendship" Demeter said happily. "Connor and Travis you'll share the job as the gods of traveling, thieves,roads,and messages" Hermes said quickly and returning his attention to his iphone. "Will you are the god of the sun,prophecy, music,and medicine" Apollo recited. "Pollux god of wine,party,and madness" Dioynus said while drinking wine. "My heir will also be an Olympian. She is Rachel Dare new goddess of the hearth,home,and art" Hestia said shyly. "OMG" shrieked Rachel. "Now we the gods will give your immortality." declared Zeus. "We give our heirs immortality and god hood" the gods chanted in unison. Annabeth like she was on fire but realized it was her aura. "Now its time for us to fade. Goodbye" said the former gods. "so what do we do now?" asked Leo. "I have an idea" annabeth said.
