The Year 2008
"It'll be so good to see Daisy again," Shelby says sitting down on her porch swing next to her husband.
"I know," he answers, putting his arm around Shelby. "How long has it been? Three and a half years now?"
"At least. I can't believe she has two kids now!" Shelby exclaims looking at the picture Daisy has sent her.
"I still can't believe that she married David. I never liked him too much."
"Oh, stop," Shelby says playfully, pushing her husband. "We had a lot of fun our senior year at Horizon. Daisy and David were good together. And just having you made life worth living."
"Yeah, I guess it was fun, wasn't it?"
***Two days later***
"Are you all packed, honey?" Shelby calls from the living room.
"Just about!"
He appears from the bedroom with his suitcase. "Ready to roll?"
"Let's go! I can't wait to go see Daisy!" Shelby says enthusiastically. She pets the dog goodbye, picks up her suitcase, and locks the door behind her. They get into the car and travel the three hours to Daisy's house.

"Shelby!" Daisy calls from her front porch and runs to give her friend a hug. "It's so good to see you!"
David walks out the front door with a baby in his arms and a little girl holding his hand.
"Shelby! Nice to see you," David says giving her a kiss on the cheek.
"You're children are beautiful!" she exclaims.
"Well, Shelby," Daisy says taking the baby from David. "I'd like you to meet little baby Davey and my daughter Rose." She smiles proudly.
"I'm so proud of you, Daisy."
Daisy looks around. "Hey, where's that handsome husband of yours anyway?"
"He's getting all the stuff together from the car. Here he comes!"
Daisy runs up to him and gives him a hug. "Ezra! It's so good to see you again!"
