Seto rubbed his eyes, his physical clock telling him to stop that and go back to sleep. It was early, Ra has yet to be born and Seth was particularly warm tonight.
Seth?

His body jerked into awareness, looking at himself in the bed and at his lover. The shirt he wore was too baggy on him, obviously belonging to the elder, and it covered his lower garments. Seth's naked arms were wrapped around him, holding him close as a warm breath eased through his hair to his scalp. Ignore it, don't let it overtake...
Crap. He fell asleep. He wasn't supposed to fall asleep. He had to be out before anyone else was up. Only Seth was supposed to be asleep.

Ugh....but part of him...alright, all of him, wanted to stay. Wanted to stay curled next to his lover, wanted to let his easy breathing soothe him back to sleep.

He bit his lip, trying to shrug off Seth's arms. Seeing as it wasn't working, he kicked off his side of the covers onto Seth and slid down from the embrace. He pulled the priests shirt off over his head, tossing it aside, his own shorter shirt underneath it now all that covered his torso. He searched for his sandals, finding them across the room. Seto made to go get them-
"Seto?" A sleepy voice asked, the priest raising a bronze hand to rub his eye. Seto turned, looking at the stirring man. Seth rose up a little bit, his kilt now visible from under the blanket. The half-clad priest groaned a bit, obviously quite tired and he let himself rest on his forearms.
"I overslept." The scribe explained in a hushed whisper. "I need to get back to-"
"Nightmares." Seth said drowsily.

"I'm not going to lie just because we were too lazy to move, priest." He said softly, sitting down and tying his sandals on. Damn priest, damn feelings.

"Wouldn't it be more suspicious if you were caught walking out of my room this early?" Seth asked, somewhat awake now. He groaned. "Or is it late? Ra, Seto, just come back to bed. When morning and night are one and the same, no one should be awake."

"Seth," Seto persisted. "I have to-"

He was pulled back by his shirt, landing on his back on the bed as an arm tightly wrapped around him. Seth dragged him closer, chin nestled in the boys' hair.

"You were having nightmares." Seth said. "And you came to me because they were recurring. We were up all night trying to decipher them, as they were disturbing, and I let you sleep here." His eyes, throughout, were closed, his firm voice laced with sleep. "Alright?"

Shit, shit, shit, his breath was too warm, his lie was too good, he was too strong...

"Okay." He relented, his own eyes following his teachers lead, letting Seth hold him.

Once in a while, he supposed, it was okay to indulge in the simpler moments.

The cuteness was strangling me. They're not as argumentative because they're so tired. Or because it's not as important. I dunno. Its 3:43 in the morning and this BARELY makes a page on Microsoft Word.
