Author's Note: before you read this, you must read the Daughters Of The Moon series by Lynne Ewing! Also, there are references in my song that may not be in the book. This song is a product of reading the books and studying Greek mythology.

Daughter's Of The Moon Theme Song ~ by Me

Chorus: The moon protects me, You can't hurt me, So don't you try, Don't you try Tonight

I was born to Selene, To help guard the darkness, To stop all evil at night, I wear a moon pendant, Around my neck, That shines, that shines, When danger is near

Chorus

The Shadows around you, May not be what they seem, Twisting and turning, Evil shapes burning, Growing and moving, Into the cold fire, Immortality for evils

Chorus

Don't you worry, I will protect you, My moon is a natural night light, I will help you In your fight My voice My heart My light Will guide your way

Chorus

My brother the sun Helios Watches over in the day I reflect his light with My silver sphere to let you know Help is always near Help will always be here

Chorus

I am Artemis I am Hekate [Hecate] I am Selene I am A daughter of the Moon

Background: Selene is the one of 3 goddesses associated with the moon. She rides her chariot across the sky to reflect he brother's light so that there won't be much darkness at night.

Helios is Selene's brother. He is the god associated with the sun. He keeps the day bright.

Artemis is the second goddess associated with the moon. She is also the goddess of hunt and chastity.

Hekate is the third goddess associated with the moon. She is also associated with the underworld. She is misunderstood and such and she is not evil though some tales say she is.

I urge you to read Greek Mythology because it is so interesting.
