I have so many ideas and wants flooding my head in light of Monday's episode so here's a little bit of what I want to see. Super Short ONE SHOT
Disclaimer: Characters are Andrew Marlowe's
Mouth gagged. Lungs drooping with the weight of water. No way to scream. Barely enough air to breath. Gates warned her, she didn't have to do this and she shouldn't have. Regret swims like the ice cold water clogging her lungs. A gun once again aimed at her head and all she can do is wish and pray for some miracle.
This time she's alone. No partners around or even aware of her whereabouts.
No Castle.
And she can't bare the thought of him when they find her body, if they find her body. She feels limp. She won't last much longer, not with these thoughts swimming thorugh her head. Castle. All she can think is Castle. How she felt their last morning together. How the sunlight streaming through the window woke her up because he forgot to pull the blinds shut the night before. How it annoyed her at the time because it was her day off and she didn't need to be awake. How his arm was secured around her abdomen and their legs tangled under the thin linens and how she forgot her annoyance because nothing beat waking up with the man she loved. How they lazily kissed as the woke up. The soft skin of his hands tracing lines and swirls on her bare back. How they spent time picking out fonts for their wedding invite but couldn't find quite the perfect one.
How she feels now, alone, cold, and without any saving grace other than the chance to see his face and hold him one last time. Gun still pointed at her head she can almost see the tall Russian figure sign the deal with the devil to shot her where she barely is holding herself up. She gathers her breath and glares the man down the best she can.
"My people will hunt you down and kill you."
He sneers at her and takes a step closer, gun still aimed at her skull. His fingers moves on the trigger and a shot rings out.
All there is is blackness and silence surrounding her. Nothing is moving but she hears something rusting in the surrounding bushes. Her awareness starts to return to her body. The bullet doesn't burn like it did the last time she was shot. There is no searing pain and no gush of blood. And that's when she opens her eyes to see the Russian man lying face down in the damp soil, blood gushing from his chest.
"Beckett?"
"Beckett!"
"Kate!?"
She hears her three boys voices emerging from the surrounding bush and the tears fall free. She watches them rush to her but it feels like years before they finally reach her. Esposito goesbehind her and releases her hands which immediately wrap around Castle's neck. There are tears in Castle's eyes now too but they aren't falling. She pulls her head off his shoulder to lock eyes with him, with those blue eyes she thought she would never see again. All she can do is choke out his name, the emotions on her face say the rest. She brings her lips to his and they meet for a short kiss worth the thousand words the emotions in their throats are holding back.
The roaring siren of the ambulence Ryan had called brings them back and they turn to face their new reality. Castle takes Beckett's hand and interlocks their fingers as the walk towards the ambulance. Until he feels her hand pull in his and they both stop walking.
"Castle, I don't care about the font. You, me, Alexis, Martha, my dad, the boys and Laine; let's just go to city hall tomorrow."
Thanks for reading. Love to hear your thoughts. Not sure about the last line so yeah. Thanks.
