Prologue

Cameron sighed and rolled over. Her pager beeping furiously, it was probably House with a new case. She quickly glanced at the clock on her bed side table and groaned. The clock read 5:37. She glanced up at the roof trying to build up enough mementos to get herself out of bed. Eventually she got showered and dressed and left the apartment.

Within 15 minutes she had got to Princeton-Plainsboro with bagels and coffee in hand. As she walked in she saw Foreman sitting at the table drinking a coffee.

"Morning" she yawned as she walked though the door "do you know why he got us in so early?"

"Mornin' and don't ask me anything he's locked himself in his office till we've all arrived" Foreman said grumbling.

As soon as Cameron sat down Chase came in though the door. As if he had been he watching (which House being House probably had) House waltzed into the room from his office.

"Good Morning Angels" he said brightly holding his hand to his ear.

"House what the hell do you want from us this early?" asked Foreman clearly annoyed.

"Your meant to call me Charlie but doesn't matter I guess." House looked down at Cameron sitting in her chair. Cameron just scowled and looked up at House.

"Oh don't look so grumpy" House said grinning at Cameron. Cameron willed her not to smile but felt a small grin pulling at the sides of her mouth. Cameron finally gave in letting a huge smile spread on her face.

"Ah that's better" he said staring at her face, studying her just that fraction to long causing her to blush. House suddenly looked away from her face to look at Foreman and Chase. While Cameron jumped up and walked to the coffee machine.

"Okay new case, 12 year old girl..." House's voice trailed away while Cameron made him a coffee. He was so arrogant and self centered but so wonderful and funny at the same time. She craved him.
