Alien 3 Alternative ending.
Alien 3. Some people dislike this movie, but I actually think it's not that bad. It's not brilliant compared to the other movies, I'll admit, but I find it enjoyable. 6.5 out of 10. Above average. Sets are great, camera angles are brilliant. Good writing.
At first I remember being bothered there are no weapons in the movie. This annoyed me, I mean they say it's a prison and I kinda get it. But shouldn't they have weapons for say….riots? Of course then I went back to the scene and rewatched it, and this line gets said, on why the prisoners don't kill the staff.
"Fear. No way to escape. The company would kill them when the supply ship comes around."
Ahhhh…..I get it now. Also I heard this line.
"Some carving knives in the Abattoir, a few more in the mess hall. Some fire axes scattered about - nothing terribly formidable."
Am I the only one who thinks a fire axe isn't that bad a weapon? Just read on…..
Inside Andrews' Quarters on the prison planet. Ellen Ripley told Andrews of the alien threat.
Aaron stands against the back wall. Andrews could hardly believe a word Ripley was saying.
"Let me see if I have this correct, Lieutenant." He said. "It's an eight foot insect of some kind with acid for blood and it arrived on your spaceship. It kills on sight and is generally unpleasant. And, of course, you expect me to accept all this on your words ."
"No. I don't expect anything." Ripley replied
Andrews turned to Aaron. "Quite a story. Yes, Mr. Aaron?"
Aaron turned to Andrews "Right, sir. That's a beauty. Never heard anything like it, sir."
Andrews turned back to Ripley "I expect not... Tell me, Lieutenant, what would you suggest we do?
"What kind of weapons have you got?" asked Ripley
Andrews frowned. "This is a prison. It is not a good idea to allow prisoners access to firearms."
Ripley closed her eyes in disbelief. "What keeps them from killing you?"
"Fear. No way to escape. The company would kill them when the supply ship comes around."
"So no weapons of any kind?"
Andrews thought it over "Some carving knives in the Abattoir, a few more in the mess hall. Some fire axes scattered about - nothing terribly formidable."
"Then we're fucked."
"No. You're fucked. Confined to the infirmary. Quarantined. I think you'll be safe from any large nasty beasts while you're in there. Right? Yes, that's a good girl. Mr. Aaron will escort you."
Ripley goes outside sulking. Aaron goes to escort her.
"Wait, Aaron. I want a word."
Andrews whispered into Aaron's ear. "She sounds pretty sure. I think we'd better make a plan B. Get Dillon in here. I hear he got arrested for multiple murders with an axe."
In the prison cafeteria. The staff and the prisoners stood ready.
"Ready, everyone?"
Suddenly the alien came bursting through the front entrance. Dillon then threw an axe right at the alien's face.
"Good shot!" Aaron smiled.
"Let me have a go!" Morse shouted. He then threw a carving knife at the alien's face damaging it further.
Dillon threw another axe, hitting it in the chest, bleeding more acid blood. Finally it fell dead.
"Great work." Smiled Aaron.
Ripley of course refused to have any part of the dead alien around. She had the prisoners drag the alien into the foundry's molding facility and drown it in molden lead.
Later on…
It will be a pleasure cutting you and your alien open!" smiled Morse to Ripley lying on the ground.
"I feel so much better already." Said a sarcastic Ripley.
END.
