It was a warm summer night. Misto was sitting upon a fence, deep in thought. The Jellicle Ball was soon and this year he was old enough to join the mating dance. This dance was special because whoever he danced with would forever be his soul mate. He was nervous. If he didn't pick the perfect mate, he'd be stuck with the wrong queen…forever. *Sigh* It was just too much pressure for him. He decided to try and forget about it by gazing at the stars. Suddenly, a voice called out. "What's up, Sparklefoot?" "Oh, hi Maj." The white, magical queen always called him that. She thought it was kinda cute. "Something wrong?" "Well, kinda…" She looked at him with a twinkle in her eye. "You…wanna walk through the park with me?" "…sure"

"…and that's it. If I don't find the right mate, I'm stuck for live." The two had walked through most of the park. "Humph, we strays never have to go through stuff like that." "Yeah, too bad I'm not a stray like you, Maj." Well, I guess you'll just have to cross the bridge when you come to it." She giggled then ran in circles so fast, when she stopped Misto could see that she had caught her own tail. "Wow. That is so weird! How'd you do that?" "Talent." She smiled. The magical tom was not about to be beaten by a stray. "Let me try!" He ran around three times then, "Oop!" landed flat on the ground. "Hee hee, oh that was smooth," she teased. "You really are a house cat!" "Oh yeah?" he pounce on her and she somersaulted off. They started walking again. "Haha, you're weird!" "No you're the weird one!" "Oh yeah, Grrr!" "Hee hee, Misto." As the two walked together, if one could read their thoughts, it would sound like this:

Misto: I never had this feeling before
She gives me shakes and shivers
I can't ignore
And I see that there's more now
than just running free

Maj: I never felt my heart beat so fast
I'm thinking of him first and of myself last
and how happy I want him to be
