Brave never really thought of himself as being exceptionally strong, in the physical sense so to speak. Sure, he gained strength through years of travel, along with treasure hunting and scuba diving, but he never really got the chance to train his body and become fully built.
Then again, perhaps it was in part because he never really found a need to fight. Brave always despised conflict, mostly in part due to his disgust of war and bloodshed. Violence always made him cringe, and he tended to keep away from the rougher areas of town.
And of course, there was the matter of his kids. They've been through so much, and Brave didn't want them to be exposed to such traumatizing events ever again. He'd protect them at all costs, but at the same time he had to survive for them, for he knew no one else was capable of taking care of them like he could.
He didn't have any special skills (he promptly excluded his Rune Powers- those weren't of the human standard). He had basic survival instincts, and the confidence and heart in believing that he can and will protect those he loves to the best of his abilities.
He'd left the kids home alone one day, just for a bit in order to go grocery shopping. It was a short trip, and Brave knew he'd be back in no time. However, what he didn't expect to see was the chaotic scene of valuables and objects scattered across his home. He dropped his bags, feeling the tension and anger rising in his head. Of course his priorities were in order.
"The kids..." He mumbled, running through every room of the vast house, before coming across a scene that gave him a sense of relief, yet leaving the anger intact. His ten kids were alright, albeit very shaken up. He brought them all together, whispering comforting words and checking for injuries. Everything was in order, except for a few left pieces.
That being said, within the next few days he was on the hunt for the group of men that ransacked his home. Needless to say, it was one of the few times Brave had bloodied his hands to make sure his family was safe.
