Thor clutched Loki's small frame to his chest as the storm raged on outside the bedroom window.
"I do not like tunderstorms Thor." Loki sobbed into his older brother Thor's nightshirt.
"One day, Loki, I will be the God of thunder, and I will never allow them to scare you again." Thor comforted while running his fingers through his brother's hair. He hated seeing Loki like this, scared and vulnerable, reduced to a whimpering mess. Thor was more than a little over protective of his brother, so when something threatened the young prince's happiness it became Thor's enemy.
"You promise?" Loki lifted his head so he could look his brother in the eyes.
"On Heimdall's eyes I swear that to you." Thor swore, as he pulled his brother into a hug once more.
