Emily closed her eyes for the last time as butterflies flew off her.
The butterflies were blue, like the moonlight, on this dark October and like the grim fate she was now returning to. Except in peace.
"Goodbye Victor," the corpse bride whispered one last time, remembering his dark brown eyes.
She loved him, Victor, truly loved him. But she had to let him go because her time on earth was done and she had to go on to the next great adventure.
But she would never forget her first and only true love, Victor. The only man and gentleman who stood by her and never let her go or disappointed her.
He'd always been a gentleman to her; even if he could not give her his heart.
"I will love you always."

She shed her last tear and then the last butterfly carried her away, so that nothing, not even glitter, remained.
