I don't own South Park or any of the adorable characters. Just the first chapter. I know it's short. I might continue if you guys like it.
"Craig?"
"Yeah?"
"Why am I different?" Tweek sat anxiously against the back wall of South Park elementary, starring at his best friend, Craig.
"I dunno. I don't really care."
"But, AH, why do I act differently then everybody else?"
"Well maybe if you stopped drinking so much coffee you wouldn't-"
"No, I mean…I just…" Tweek's face turned as red as his cold hands while he and Craig sat and starred at the snow. Craig just rolled his eyes.
"You just what Tweek?" Running his fingers through his messy blonde hair, Tweek stopped jittering and starred at Craig.
"Why do I like boys?"
" 'Cause your gay."
"What? AH!"
"God dammit Tweek! Stop screaming in my ear!"
"Sorry." Tweek picked up his warm coffee cup and let it heat his hands. Craig was aware that Tweek liked boys, but what he didn't know was that he was the boy Tweek had taken interest in. Since Tweek started liking Craig, he panicked all the time. The more he thought about Craig, the worse it got. He didn't know why he liked Craig. All they did was hang out behind the school as Craig flipped off everyone that walked by. In fact, they used to hate each other. A while back, Cartman and Kyle tricked them into fighting each other, only to be told it was all fake. Every time Tweek thinks about it now, it makes him happy. If that fight had never happened, he would have never met Craig.
"Craig?"
"What?"
"Is it bad that i'm gay?"
"…No."
Craig starred at the sky. Tweek starred at his feet. It was a perfect awkward situation.
"Craig?"
"What is it now?"
"What's it like having a girlfriend?"
"Why do you care? I thought you like boys?"
"AH! I do! I just…" Craig was staring directly into the blondes eyes. Tweek could feel his cheeks steaming with anxiety.
"You just what?"
"I just…wanna know." Craig tipped his blue hat down, concealing most of his face from Tweek.
"It doesn't matter Tweek."
"But-" A middle finger to Tweek's face told him to drop the subject. Tweek didn't understand why it was such a sensitive subject. Now that he thought about it, he couldn't remember a time when Craig even had a girlfriend.
Craig stumbled to stand up, his hat still covering his eyes.
"Craig?"
"I'm going home. Red Racer's on."
"I'll go with you."
"Don't."
"Why not?"
"Just-" Craig flipped the bird and ran away. The red racer fan always seemed like he didn't care, but Tweek knew Craig took other's opinions deeply into consideration. That finger was the wall that Craig had built between him and other people. Well not anymore.
Tweek grabbed his coffee and stood up.
"No more running Craig, for either of us." The coffee made Tweek hyper so of course he darted down the street as fast as he could.
"Craig!" He didn't turn around.
"Craig! Wait!" All Craig did was run faster.
"I love you!" Tweek's hands automatically slapped over his mouth as he fell to his knees. He said it. He really said it. What if Craig didn't love him? What if Craig thought he was a freak? Tweek had never cried before. There's a first time for everything. Once he started he just couldn't stop. Still blinded by his tears, he jumped up to run away, but a warm embrace from behind him caused him to stay.
"You're such an idiot."
"Craig? AH! What are you-"
"Let's go watch Red Racer." Craig warmth surrounded Tweek and for the first time in a long time, Tweek stood perfectly still.
"Okay."
This was going to be confusing, but as long as Craig was there, Tweek didn't mind.
