Coward
-Drabble-
These feelings scared him too much. He ain't never been a coward, but even the idea of love had him wary. He hadn't been that lucky when it came to women. Fact, he was pretty damn unlucky. Hell, he couldn't even live on the same ship as any regular woman. He had a mechanic that could feel how to fix his ship. A companion that had once turned his gears so much he couldn't choose between throttling her or ruttin' with her until he was near death. A war buddy that was unemotional and downright scary sometimes, 'cept when she'd been with her husband, then she switched into an entirely too happy woman that Mal just couldn't quite connect between. And then a mentally unstable girl that was a phenomenally wanted outlaw. And don't get him started on his ex-wife or ex-girlfriends...
But now, now he just wanted to flee. Which was sayin' somethin' considering he was on his prized ship, of all places, and sailin' through the black. Meaning there wasn't any such thing as escape and really, there were only so many places he could go on his ship. Not like he could hide from his feelings anyway. They were right there with him, no matter where he went. So while he wanted to run and hide and never think again, his mind kept goin' back to her. Her, as she stripped off her coveralls and revealed more of that creamy flesh of hers. Some marred by grease stains, others a porcelain white just waitin' for his rough hands to grip and tease and stroke. Her and her long brown hair that fell down her shoulders as she let it loose from the messy pony tail. A waterfall of brown waves that looked smooth and soft and ready for his fingers to run through. Her and her pink lips that she bit into as she shook her little hips, trying to get her coveralls down, leaving her in nothin' but them lacy panties and a too-small t-shirt. Too gorram hot in that engine room, he figured.
So while Mal had never been a coward. Met and killed many a man that got in his way of freedom. At this moment in time, when all he could think of was taking her and loving her, all the while knowing it was wrong. Only one word came to mind.
Bolt.
