A/N: I am a firm believer that the right song can set the mood for anything. For this I highly suggest that you listen to the song 'That Song in My Head' by Julianne Hough. It inspired this whole story and it's where I got the title (duh!!).
That Song in My Head
Elizabeth sat in her office, trying desperately to get some work done. She looked down at the mission report in front of her. She was trying to concentrate, she really was, it just wasn't working.
She started to read the report for the third time. She had yet to get through it.
Without realizing it, she started tapping her pen on the desk.
"Argh!" She moaned as she rubbed her face with the palms of her hands, "not again!"
She closed her eyes and images of the night before flooded her mind. The radio playing in the rec room. Her heart and the big bass speaker thumping away when he caught her looking at him. Him smiling that heart melting smile, then asking her to dance to that song. Oh that song.
She still had her eyes closed when for the first time since the night before, she heard that song, and it wasn't just I her head.
She opened her eyes. There he was, standing in front of her with a radio that was playing that song! That song which she didn't even know who sang it.
"I've had that song in my head all day!" She sat up, and a smile came over her face.
"Me too," He said making his way to her side of the desk. "But that's not all." With that John leaned down and kissed her.
"I'm so not getting that song out of my head anytime soon." She thought with a smile.
