A/N: So, this is a super quick poem I wrote in my English class. It's set to Debussy:Nocturne La Mer 91-Nauges, and it's how I figured Bella would feel when Edward left her. Enjoooy!!!
Love is Lost.
A plummeting rock of fire and ice.
Stripping the heart of its innocence
A rose
Each petel wrenched for the stem
By the cold hand of the one you love,
Or the one you hate,
Or both.
The beautiful face
Once alive and thriving,
Is now wilting and crumbling.
A mere shell of its former self.
A block of stone.
Lifeless. Hopeless. Alone.
Foolishly awaiting a lovers touch,
Or a gentle caress,
Or a breath of life.
But it never comes.
The plummeting rock,
The naked rose,
The desolate face,
And the block of stone
Remain.
Lifeless. Hopeless. Alone.
