Hi =) Kinda confusing I realize, but please read it and tell me if its good. Basically about holy wars. That even though we may be fighting for something sacred, death is still death.

Paradox

Is it a sin to seek the truth?

When the truth lies where blood has been spilled

Where the cruelty of legends borne long ago

Were hidden in pain and betrayal

Is it wrong to seek this dark fact,

The salvation of our times,

The destruction of the weave of time itself

In our eyes this Beast has been created

We have arisen the paradox, the meaning in these

Circumstances that will justify the blood spilled

and blood shed in this place

Sacred of sacred, holy of holy,

Yet tainted as nothing has ever been tainted.

The simple fact to live

And to survive

Has no place in mankind's glory search,

Or in the promise of eternity

For War and God are

The two truths of life

All men will fight

And all men will believe

In something,

For even to believe in nothing

Is to worship that idea that "nothing" is truth

So then, are we fighting for nothing,

in the technicality that life has become?

As the warriors of long ago are but dust today

All that will remain of this battle

Is the murmur of memory

The whisper of those who fought in history

Of we, the soldiers, the fighters of freedom

Brother on brother, father on son,

Your slaughtering, once tragic,

Is now meaningless

As you are to them, the enemy

You will not hesitate to kill,

but neither shall they

The question now is not whether we will win or die

But if we will ever have the power

To stop before we destroy everyone

Before we destroy everything

Are you willing to destroy your very self

To kill your brother?
