CHAPTER 1
LUCY POV:
I woke up from a bad nightmare. "God" It was about me being kicked out of the guild because of my poor performance in the GMGs. "Man, I should start training… I have a bad feeling I might..." I shook my head and got up from bed. After having bath and breakfast I set out to the guild. I still had an uneasy feeling. Team Natsu had taken in Lisanna as their member. I didn't mind. The only thing I did mind was the fact that she would always glare at me whenever I was around the team, but on closer observation, I found out that she glares at me whenever I'm with Natsu. I mean, yeah, we're close friends, but nothing more. If she wants him, she can have him, but not at the cost of the friendship between us.
"Hello minna!" I greeted everyone in the guild as I walked in. And as usual there was a brawl in the guild, with tables, chairs and mages flying all-over the place. I sighed but couldn't help smile. Fairy Tail would certainly be weird without its usual fights. I made my over to the bar, taking my time, avoiding the flying furniture and mages.
"Yo Lu-"Levy shouted but that was cut short as Gajeel was sent flying over, smacking her onto the wall. "Levy! I'll help you!" I said, making my over to her, only to be smacked from behind by a certain ice mage. "GRAY! GET OFF ME THIS INSTANT!" I shouted at him. He rolled himself off me "Sorry Lucy" he said with a sheepish smile and helped to my feet. Suddenly Natsu and Gajeel made their way to Gray. I knew what was going to happen and I ducked before a flaming and an iron fist collide against each other. Looks like Erza has a big job to do, but unfortunately, she was strangling Bixlow for stepping on her cheese cake. I sighed and made my way to Levy as she sat their rubbing her bruised cheek. "Hey!" I said as I sat next to her. "Hi Lucy" she said with a sweet smile.
"Well… should we go on a job?" asked Levy. I thought about it, but before I could reply, Master shouted to calm us down, well, except Natsu who needed a special way to be silenced. "Lucy... come to my office please". I nodded and went over, wondering what master was gonna say."Hello Lucy, I have something important to tell you" said Makarov, the guild master. "Yes, what is it"? "Well, I got a letter addressed to you by a person named Lyra Heartfilia" said the master, looking at me intently. "Lyra….." I know I heard that name somewhere, but where..? "Heartfilia"?! 'WHAT?!' I thought, looking at him disbelievingly. "Yes, here it is". I took the letter from him, he was right; it said 'To Lucy, from Lyra Heartfilia' "This can't be... I know I don't have a sister..." I tried to think hard…I know a person named Lyra... but who?
"Valentine" I thought aloud. Then it hit me, "That's it! It's Lyra Valentine!" I looked at Makarov and then back at the paper. "Guess I'll have to open it".
