Why?
Why did this happen? Were is everyone?
Inuyasha? Sango? Miroku? Shippo?!?!?
ANYONE!!!!
The darkness was suffocating, not a single light reflecting upon the seemingly endless blackness, which shrouded every corner of space.
The only thing that stood out from the darkened world was the young miko in her green school clothes, hovering about. It looked as if she was floating with ease in the air, as neither roof nor ground existed. Her eyes full of worry and fear, could not distinguish anything that lay in front of her, nor could she for all her seemingly efforts, remember anything that could have happened, to lead herself looked in this world of no colour beyond it's hated blackness.
"Mom I'm scared''Shouted Kagome fearfully in here head, hands clasped tightly to her front
skirt.
"Child…" whispered a soft womanly voice. "Don't be afraid. Everything is going to be alright" echoed the voice again.
A white light shining so brightly as never seen before, erupted in front of Kagome, shrouding her with such warmth, that it made her give a sob of relief and happiness. Never had she seen and felt anything that beautiful in her life.
When the light died down, a woman in her mid twenties could be seen. Dressed in a white silky gown that snuggled, her every perfect curve. Her stark black tresses floating behind her, creating a wavy halo. Those pure light blue smiling eyes, making Kagome feel an inner completion.
"W-w- who a-are you???" asked Kagome, full of awe.
The woman laughed, taking Kagomes hands in a light comforting embrace. "I am called Etsuko, and I am here to guide you forward in the afterlife"
"What? What do you mean afterlife?" Kagome screamed in surprise and fear. Making her once again feel apprehension.
"My dear child, you were in a battle against the hanyou Naraku, and you got hurt beyond
medical help, in truth you are slipping away from the life to death, as we speak" said Etsuko with a sad smile.
Kagome was shocked beyond believe, she was so shocked that she could not even begin to utter a single thing, for at least ten minutes.
"I won't ever be able to see Mom, Souta, grandpa, Inuyasha, Miroku, Sango, Shippo, everyone…" As those words were spoken, her bottled up tears of frustration, anger, fear and sadness began to unfold. But in the last effort to preserve Kagomes heartache, Etsuko laid her hands on Kagomes cheeks and wiped the tears away with a smile.
"No no no, child. Etsuko laughed, your time is not done yet, you have still much to do before you ascend to the afterlife, I was going to make sure that you don't walk forward to the light, but back to your life. She voiced happily, trying to cheer the girl up, and succeeding.
"Really???" Kagome screamed happily, and hugged the girl in white out of sheer relief and happiness.
"Now, it's time to go child" Etsuko stated. "Take my hand and think of nothing else but your family and friends, think back to your memory's, about every single person in your life" She voiced against here ear. All of a sudden, everything was beginning to turn white.

KAGOME!!! WAKE UP!!! Someone yelled in pure anxiety. "Kagome-chan!! Please come back!!" A woman screamed.
"Inuyasha, Sango?" she whispered tiredly. Kagome opened her eyes, squinting when the light came forth. She blinked a couple of times, at last taking notice of the four worried faces of her friends.
KAGOME!!! Cried her little kit in worry, "Kagome-sama, your alright", smiled the monk in relief.
Kagome are you alright? Asked Inuyasha softly, his eyes projecting worry and love.
She smiled, "yes, I am now"
