I have just heard about the death of stage actor icon Alan Rickman. I have seen this man's performance in Private Lives alongside Lindsay Duncan in theatre before I saw the Harry Potter series and found his performance amazing. His talent, his incredible unique voice and he himself will be terribly missed. This is just a little tribute on my mind for the incredible actor.
"Severus Snape, what are you doing?"
Severus Snape turned to look at his friend. He had been dead for nearly eighteen years and found much greater pleasure being dead than alive. He had found his best friend.
When he had met her on the 'Other Side' he had keeled over and told her to go ahead and kick him for the way he had treated her son. Instead she had pulled him up and gave him a warm hug, forgiving him for everything.
"I'm watching that Die Hard movie again," he said, his eyes flicking back to the TV.
"AGAIN," Lily nearly screamed.
"Hans Gruber is brilliant," Snape shot at her.
"Here's a better film than that," Lily said, summoning another movie. "Let's watch this."
She put the film on.
"I know Dark Harbor is better," Severus smiled .
"Of course it is," she said, snuggling into her best friend. She was overjoyed to have Severus with her. While it was nice being with friends like Dorcas, Alice, and Mary Macdonald, she had deeply missed Severus. She watched him for years trying his hardest to keep her boy safe, who was currently still alive and raising a family.
Severus loved the scene where David Weinberg delivered his speech to the young man. He found the actor's voice completely enthralling. Lily often told him he sounded just like him.
"I wonder what he's like in real life," Severus asked blindly.
"You'll find out today," came another voice. The voice of Albus Dumbledore.
"What do you mean, Albus," Lily asked gently.
"I just spoke with Death."
Snape snorted. Albus Dumbledore always spoke with Death.
"He has just died today," Dumbledore spoke sadly. "Our former world has lost a legend. A brilliant actor he is indeed. I really loved his performances. Our former world is grieving for him today."
Severus and Lily looked at Dumbledore, shocked. "He died?"
"Yes," he spoke sadly. "And I hope Alan Rickman will Rest In Peace."
