Blackstar stared at Russetfur's body. Maybe, this was vengeance? For that noble life he'd taken so long ago?
Blackfoot padded towards Mothermouth, Runningnose in front of him. The white tom raised his head, his green eyes not giving away any fear he felt at what he was about to face.
Blackfoot touched the MoonStone with his nose, and closed his eyes. His body relaxed as his eyes drifted shut, and he fell asleep on the cold stone.
When the ShadowClan tom opened his eyes, he was at FourTrees, only it was empty.
"Hello?" He called, his deep voice echoing back to him.
"I'm here Blackfoot." A calm voice meowed. As the gray tom walked forward, he explained. "I needed to talk to you before the ceremony."
Blackfoot backed up in horror. "Stonefur. I'm… I'm sorry."
The scared gray tom shrugged. "You did what Tigerstar told you."
Blackfoot looked down. "I should've stood up for you, or something. You were weaker than me physically, but you didn't back down."
Stonefur sighed. "No, I didn't. Blackfoot, there's one thing you need to know. Someday, you suffer what Leopardstar did. That will be vengeance, that I wish wouldn't happen."

Blackstar stared at Russetfur's body. Maybe, this was the vengeance Stonefur spoke of? He'd lost his deputy, his trusted deputy in a fight that shouldn't have happened.
He dipped his head, remember the last words Stonefur had said to him.
"With this life I give you remembrance, so you may remember mistakes and learn from them." Stonefur meowed, touching his nose to Blackstar's head.
"I would've remembered even if you hadn't done this." Blackstar murmured softly.
