Eleanor
She knew she should have written more on to the back of the post card. She still loved him for god sakes but she just couldn't bring herself to write to him, phone him, even just contact him at all. If she did she would break and that was not an option for her not now.
Park
He still couldn't bring himself to let go of the belief that Eleanor would phone him or write to him. He couldn't break up with Cat because she kept him whole or as whole as you can be when the one you love lives in another state. He knew he was selfish for that reason and that it wasn't nice of him to hold on to Cat like this but he couldn't really let go.
Eleanor
She had heard from DeNice that Park had a girlfriend now but he wasn't really happy. At first she was baffled at how DeNice had found out where she lived now but Park must have told herand then there was the fact that Park had a girlfriend. She knew that it would happen, it was inevitable but it hurt and it was still too hard to dial his number on the phone in her room. Even after all these years it was far too hard. Instead she opened the very first letter that he had sent her.
Dear Eleanor.
I miss you, do you miss me
Do you know what your uncles number is so I can phone you. Are you Ok?
Have they even taken you in or are you being sent away?
I just want you to know that I love you.
Love from
Park
