A/N: So basically, a dive into Riza's mind when Lust tells her Roy is dead. This came out of nowhere, and although I was writing about something completely different, it turned into this.
Everything She Had
The moment she heard it, her world broke down. The pain and sorrow she had kept at bay would swallow her up, and now she no longer had a reason to resist it.
It had never mattered before. He had expected much from her, and she strived to reach those expectations.
But he also expected her to be at his back, and she hadn't. And now she never could.
The homunculus saw through her false confidence with a malicious smile. And she couldn't help but fall. The purpose of her life was lost. Everything she had worked for was gone.
Roy was gone.
