Angry birthday girl ran up to her room, knocking everything on her way. 'Kanata! You baka! Why did you have to ruin my birthday! She thought while angrily banging the door behind her. Tears flow furiously from her eyes.
FLASHBACK
"Come on Miyu! Show it!" Kanata said with annoyance in his voice. He's trying to read whatever is written on the note she received earlier. He's positive that it's from some secret admirer of her. He's jealous of 'him' but just stubborn to admit it. He successfully grabbed the note and started to read it. But, "NO! KANATA! I told you it was something personal!" Miyu grabbed it back. Kanata glared at her and shouted, "You won't let us see it because some random guy declared his love for you." Silence. "And oh! If it's true, I don't really care. But I still want to read the note. I can be a witness that you and that guy is official." At this words, Miyu's eyes got teary and shouted back at him. "That's what you think, Kanata? FINE! READ IT! Let's see who's this guy." Miyu threw the now crumpled paper to Kanata then took off towards her room.
Kanata read the letter. He blushed when he reached the section of the ultimate girly things and guilty deposits inside him when he saw that the sender was her mother. He decided to bring Miyu some food and apologize after he finished his own dinner.
TIME GAP
Miyu was too enraged to sleep. She was about to stand up and grab a book when she heard her doorknob turning. She resumed her previous position and immediately pretend to sleep. "Daa!" She knew that it's Ruu with Kanata, knowing Wannya's still busy feasting on Mitarashi Dangos. "Mama." Ruu flew to her. She sat up and carefully scooped the flying boy in her arms. Kanata smiled at the view. He couldn't explain why but Miyu holding Ruu like her real child warmed his heart.
"Papa, sorry, Mama." Miyu looked at the boy in her arms. She smiled at him, as if she didn't hear his statement. Meanwhile, Kanata hesitantly walked to her bed and sat on it. Ruu kissed her 'parent's on the cheeks and flew out of the room, giving them privacy.
"Uh, Miyu." Kanata began his speech. "I..I'm sorry about what happened earlier. I didn't know it's from Mom, I mean, your Mom." He paused and shoo away the memories of what he read on the letter. "I think I..I..was just..j-jealous that I thought you received it from some guy out there." Kanata summoned up his courage to look at Miyu straight to the eye. To his surprised, Miyu was smiling. He stared at her with a confused expression on his face which made Miyu burst into laughter. Kanata can't help but join her.
Moments passed and the laughter died down. Comfortable silenced enveloped the couple who is now sitting quite closer. "Guess my reason's too silly huh?" Kanata said, breaking the stillness around. He glanced up to Miyu and found out how close her face to his. "Uhh…" Kanata looked away so Miyu will not see his blush but a hand reached out and cupped his left cheek. "Nope, it's sweet." They both blushed at what Miyu said but Miyu kept on moving to him. So close that their noses were practically touching.
Not minding the world out there, they stared at each other's eyes. "Are you still mad?" Kanata managed to squeak out. "I always have been," Miyu murmured. "mad about you."
Ever so slowly, the distance between their lips disappeared. Kanata wrapped his arms around her waist, pulling her closer to him.
The kiss lasted longer than expected because neither of them wants to withdraw. But the need of air pulled their lips apart. Kanata pulled her into a tight hug, running his free hand through Miyu's blonde hair. "I love you Kanata." Miyu whispered in his ear. "I love you too, Miyu. Happy birthday."
