Hola amigos! I know, I know it's been forever! I'm sorry!

But, here I am (finally) with my second attempt at writing. This time it's not about Leo, but another one of my favorite characters.

There will be two or three swear words, but other than that it's just an angsty one-shot…? I guess you could call it that.

So, here we go!

Slut.

Whore.

Bitch.

Ice queen.

.H.E.A.R.T.L.E.S.S.

Words. All words.

Bad, evil, breaking, hurting, cutting and killing words, but words nonetheless.

She's gotten used to them. She ignores them. Pretends they don't bother her.

They used to cut into her heart and break it.

Not anymore.

Oh, they still hurt her, of course. Hurt her badly even.

They just don't break her heart anymore, for there's no more heart for them break.

But she can't let them know how much they hurt, can she?

They wouldn't care anyways, probably won't even notice.

So, she makes a mask.

She puts up walls.

She builds a fortified fortress.

She makes sure no one will ever know how much they hurt her.

How she's crumbling.

Crashing.

Hurting.

Breaking.

.D.Y.I.N.G.

Not that they'd care anyways, right?

She was a slut, a bitch, a heartless bully.

She loved no one and no one loved her. She didn't even have a heart to love with anymore, did she?

She used to though.

She had a heart once, a big one too, full of love of kindness.

Not anymore.

It disappeared over the years.

It broke into itty-bitty, teeny-tiny pieces, so small they'd be impossible to find, and even more so to put back together.

Pieces broke and vanished every time she was abandoned, betrayed, stabbed in the back and hurt.

She remembers a time when she still had a heart. She had been happy, carefree, sweet and

.K.I.N.D.

Not anymore.

She comes back to reality as she finishes applying her make-up. Perfectly, of course.

She hears someone ask:

"Do you even know what love is? Can you even .L.O.V.E. at all?"

She smiles bitterly and answers without even turning around to face her step-siblings.

"Not anymore." She answers. "No more love available here. Sorry hon."

And she walks off. Ignoring the stares and whispers that erupt behind her.

"Not anymore." She whispers to herself as she walks into the forest to sit by her favorite tree and think "Not anymore.".

Drew Tanaka

A girl with a heart that was broken so many times it finally ceased to exist.

A daughter of love who could love no more.

How ironic.
