I keep waiting but I don't know how much longer I can take. Vampires are not built to go through life alone. I am lucky that I have had my family for support but even their companionship hasn't been helping as of late. I know she is out there, I still have my symbol. Every male vampire has his symbol above his heart. The same symbol is on our mate, the only person on earth that keeps us sane through the years. If I don't meet mine soon I fear for what I may become. I can already feel myself withdrawing from those I care about. With my mind reading, I can see the true happiness of those around me who have found their other halves. I am so tired of being alone. The night has come and my family has retired to enjoy yet another night in their loves arms. I think I will go for a run tonight to give them some privacy and me a chance to keep my sanity. I don't know if I will return home this time.
