A/N: The first ever episode I watched of the show was Speed & Spike (Pietro and Evan's first cameo), a couple weeks ago. The pairing stuck with me, I guess, as it's become my OTP. This is just a little drabble I wrote in a few minutes.

Neither of them like keeping their relationship a secret. Evan doesn't like how the lies roll off his tongue now, when before he would blush and stutter and avoid eye contact like he was about to face a shadeless Scott. Pietro doesn't like how the lies don't roll off his tongue now, how his hand tugs at white bangs and his words slow until they're toeing the line between his usual gibberish and something actually semi-understandable and how his eyes start to water after he doesn't blink for awhile, because all he sees behind his lids when he closes them is Evan's face, mouth set in a hard line, dark eyes disapproving and disappointed (and pained, because he's doing it, too). What Pietro hates the most, though, is how in the end, the lie doesn't even matter, because he has to get out of there before he starts hyperventilating and get to Evan before he starts crying.
