I`ve been too busy writing SoMa that I completely forgot to give a bit of my time to one of my favourite pairings ever: NaruSaku!
Yes, I really love this pairing, sorry.
So, yes, decided to do another one of my short one shots dedicated to them.

Peace is something everyone desires to have. Either regarding emotions or physical peace, it`s still something everyone wamts
And Naruto was no exception.
For being the host of the Kyuubi, Naruto had a terrible childhood.
Everyone in the village was afraid, afraid of what he could do. They treated him like dirt and shunned him.
On top of that, Naruto did not have a family.
He never had his parents there for him to actually help him out or give him advice when he needed it.
But Naruto got over that. Naruto grew up.
He made his friends and they relieved the pain he`d suffered.
But it was far away from the peace he actually desired. That because of all the things that happened from there on: his best friend leaving and choosing the path of darkness, Jiraiya`s death…
Naruto was strong. He put up with everything, always holding on to the belief that things would go back to normal; that Sasuke would redeem himself. That he would save his best friend. For himself and for the girl he loved.
But that same girl confesses her love for him and that only caused Naruto more pain.
He did not believe her, he could not believe her.
How could things change? Naruto didn`t want to think that. That would mean that Sasuke changed too. It would mean Naruto wouldn`t be able to save his friend.
He accused her of lying. She, of course, got angry and left.
Later on, Naruto would see his best friend again, almost trying to kill her.
That`s when Naruto felt all the pain he`d suffered before come back to him with double the strength.
But she was there for him.
All along.
She helped him ease his pain.
When he needed her, she`d go to him. Even after being accused to having lied to him, Sakura was there.
Naruto doesn`t know how or when, he just knows that he somehow found himself kissing the girl he`d loved since his childhood.
And it was there he knew, when she showed all her emotions in that one kiss, that it was true all along.
And now, nothing else mattered. Not now, that he found the peace he`d been looking for.
