Here's another one shot to help me get into the swing of things :D

Disclaimer: I don't own Doctor Who, I just like to play

Had he turned them into weapons? Davros said he did, that he took ordinary humans and fashioned them into weapons as his enemy had so eloquently put it. He had never thought of it like that but now it was on his mind and he couldn't stop thinking about it.

How many people had died over the years because of him? He had been travelling for a long time and had met a great number of people. Brave and selfless people who had given everything they had to keep the universe safe. But had they died simply because they had been in the wrong place and happened to meet him or was it always meant to happen? Were they always going to die?

Donna had wanted to travel with him; amazed by the wonders of the universe and look what had happened to her. The Donna Noble he had spent months travelling with was dead and replaced by the old Donna whose life revolved around reality TV shows and chatting to friends on the phone. She would never again know the joys that she had known.

Look what had happened to Rose. She had pledged to spend her life with him; travelling in the TARDIS until the day she died. Now she was trapped in a parallel world forever all because she had left her life; her safe and comfortable life to explore the universe.

Of course; they weren't dead, not really but they were as good as, especially to the Doctor now he could never see either one of them again. But still; there had been plenty who had died spanning across time and space. Was it his fault they had died?

Astrid had died; one of many people, helping him but then again she would have died if he hadn't been there since the entire Titanic trip had been a ploy to destroy the ship and with that everyone else would have died as well. It's not as if she had died simply because she had met him but she'd still died. Jenny; his daughter, had died and she only existed because he had been at a certain place at a certain time. He was responsible for her existence and therefore by extension he was also responsible for her death. River Song obviously meant a great deal to him in the future; so much that he had even given her his sonic screwdriver because he knew what was going to happen to her. She had meant so much to him that she knew everything about him. And yet she still died. Because of him. Always because of him.

So maybe it was all his fault. Maybe Davros was right and all these people died in his name. There were too many to be simply a coincidence, he thought. But had their deaths been in vain?

In that respect he had no doubt that their death's had meant something. They had died saving the world and that was not something to be sniffed at. They had given their all and helped defeat the enemy to make the universe safe for another day. No-one else knew of their sacrifice, no-one would even give them a thought. Did they even have anyone to grieve for them? Except for him. He would never forget any of them.

He still hadn't resolved the issue at hand though. Had he caused the deaths of those people just because they had met him? Or had he just inspired them to the greatness they were capable of even though they had died in the process. Maybe it would always have turned out that way; maybe they were all destined to die.

He didn't really believe that no matter how many times he thought it. He would always feel guilty; deep down knowing he had destroyed their lives. They would stay in his memory forever, a permanent reminder of his failures. He didn't speak about it; it was his burden to bear and his alone. This weight on his shoulders that would never disappear; it was just one more thing he had to live with. And after nine hundred years he had to be good with living with it.
