A certain blue hedgehog was running around the streets of Chicago without a single care in the world, he wore red sneakers (the kind from adventure 2),fingerless gloves which were both golden colored and had a picture of all seven chaos emeralds, had a blue ring on each of his arms(they are kinda like inhibitor rings but not exactly ;-) ) and a necklace that was holding a locket.
The blue hedgehog got a phone call and answered.
"Hey Tails!" The blue hedgehog greeted to his best friend.
"Hey Sonic!" Tails greeted back.
"So what's the problem buddy?" Sonic asked Tails.
"Eggman is wreaking havoc on the city,i'm flying to his location right now, in fact, your very close to his location!"
And just then, Sonic saw Eggman's creation, it had an uncanny resemblance to the egg dragoon from Sonic Unleashed in the canon Sonic universe, except it had spikes on its back, containing some sort of dark energy and an extra pair of arms.
"Okay eggman, i'll admit that robot is a bit intimidating, but it won't be able to put me down!
And with that Sonic swung into action, he spin dashed to robot, but nothing happened, the robot shot one of its drillls at sonic, but sonic had easily dodged, but didn't see the blast incoming and got shot, he was sent flying and crashing through multiple buildings
"guess i shouldn't go easy on this one" Sonic muttered
Sonic ran all the way back to the robot and attacked once again
"Spin kick!" Sonic shouted as he made a series of kicks which made a huge dent on the robot knocking it down temporarily
"that will show him!" Sonic said proud of himself
The robot then whacked sonic with its tail and got back up.
It was about to hit Sonic again but was hit four times by other people, first getting punched, then was rocketed by a plane, then got hit by a hammer and lastly getting shot by some sort of energy spear.
The attackers were Knuckles the Echidna, Tails, Amy Rose and Shadow the Hedgehog.
Sonic got back up.
"Hey guys, what took so long?" Sonic asked playfully
"This battle would be over already if you had gone super." Shadow pointed out.
"c'mon shadow i already said my super form is only for a high threat level crisis."
Shadow merely replied with a 'hmph'
"well we would be here sooner if we had a BETTER PILOT." Amy said pointing at Tails
"Like you could be better" Tails replied
"um guys, did you forget about the GIANT ROBOT that's in front of us!?" knuckles interrupted
"oh" they both said
they turned to see the robot, malfunctioning and overloading with the dark energy it was containing.
"Woah" Sonic said, startled
The robot then exploded.
"ummm, sonic, shadow, what were you doing when we were arguing?" Tails asked
"watching" they both said in unison
"Well now that the robot has been dealt with, we should clean up the city" Sonic said
"This could have been avoided if you just went Super." Shadow said.
"Shut up Shadow." Sonic retaliated
in an abandoned warehouse
"So the egg dragoon could not take the energy huh?" A man said
"looks like i will have to resort to my secret weapon…"
"... my update to the original one… ULTIMATE METAL SONIC!"
"Yes master Eggman?"
"Go to my training room, i have a BIG mission for you…."
"As you wish, master"
"Very good...HOHOHOHOHO!"
