Hi, this is just a short little drabble I wanted to write. I haven't written in a while, so I'm a little rusty. I might write more little cute drabbles if any of you actually like them and would want more. Please review. Thanks. =)
Light moved away some of the hair covering L's warm face. He placed his hand gently over L's forehead and pulled his hand away quickly. He had a fever. Light got up from the side of his bed and went into the supply closet of their shared apartment and grabbed a small white cloth, and then preceded to the bathroom where he soaked the cloth with cool water. He held it gently in his hands careful not to wet the floor and walked back to his lover.
He placed it gently on L's forehead and heard him gasp softly. His face contorted, his body quivered and a tear slipped down his face. Light wiped it away and pulled the covers closer around L and kissed his cheek. He gently laid down next to L, and pulled him close to his body. He rocked L slowly as to not wake him and whispered, "It's okay, you'll be okay. I've got you. I'll take care of you."
Light caressed his face and protectively held L as he fitfully slept through the night, his chest slowly rising and falling. His chest would clench up and he'd let out a dry, rough cough that Light was sure made his throat bleed a little. L's body would shiver and Light would intertwine their legs and do everything in his power to make L feel better.
Eventually the medicine he had given him earlier started to work and his coughing subsided a bit, his face going from warm and hot, to a little pale and the fever started to break. Light loved L so much, he'd do anything to make him feel better. He kissed his lovers nose, held L close and sang to him softly.
"Come with me...my love...into the sea..the sea of love..I just want to tell you..how much..I love you. Do you remember? When we met...that's the day, I knew you were my pet. I want to tell you..how much I love. Come with me, my love to the sea..the sea of love. I want to tell you, how much...I love you..."
Light kissed L's cheek one more time before he also fell asleep humming the song.
