Urameshi Yusuke had by no means an ordinary life. He had died and come back to life, for starters, for another he had saved the world more than once.
He had an incredible amount of power, but that wasn't necessarily a good thing. Though it made him a person to be fear, it also made him the next man to beat. Even when he gave up his claim to a third of the Makai, his name was still known, and anyone who could beat him would gain power.
With the birth of his daughter, he realized that though he could handle anyone who tried to fight him, his family was at risk. He couldn't put them in danger, and the only way to do that was to not be a target.
To keep his family safe, Yusuke faked his own death in the Makai. After all, there was no need to seek out a dead man.
This plan worked well enough, until one day a youkai hiding out in the Ningenkai saw Yusuke and recognized him for who he was.
