Caitlin(Me): Now, before we begin this story, my friends Alex and Lindsay and I would like to thank all of you anime fans-

Alex: What?! Anime sucks! Manga rocks!

Caitlin: No it doesn't! It's almost the same as the manga! And that means you said that Naruto sucks!

Alex: You don't even watch it!

C&A: (continue arguing)

Lindsay: (sigh)

Alex: FWI, the manga is WAY better than the anime!

Caitlin: That might be true, but that doesn't mean you have to bash it!

Lindsay: YOU'RE BOTH OBSESSSED!!! (Hits C&A with chocolate-covered bat.) (It's a Lindsay thing)

May I Have This Dance?

"Toge priii!" "You really like it that much, Togepi?" said the beautiful Misty Williams, wearing her brand-new Christmas gown and seeing how she looked in it in the mirror of the bedroom she was staying in for Christmas vacation at the Ketchums' house. Ash's mom, Delia, was throwing a Christmas ball, and Misty wanted to look her absolute best. She wore a strapless red dress with a gold lace around her waist, gold sparkling gold high heels, and the outfit perfectly matched her sparkling blue-green eyes and fiery red hair, which she wore down so that it reached her shoulders. But why, you must be wondering, would a tomboy get as dressed up as this? She was even wearing MAKE UP. "Come on, Togepi, it's time to go downstairs to the party!" Misty told her little egg pokemon, picking it up. "Topepi!" He said happily, wearing a cute little black bow tie. With that, they left the guest room and slowly walked down the stairs leading to the main floor. "I hope they all like my dress!" Misty thought, but her mind soon turned to the only one person she hoped to impress.

"What's taking Misty so long?!" Ash said, sitting down at a table with his best friend, Brock. They were both wearing tuxedos, which Brock didn't really mind too much because he thought it might, "impress the ladies", but Ash was rather wishing that he was wearing his regular attire. "It's a girl thing, Ash. They always take half as longer as us guys… you know, fixing their hair, makeup, outfit, they need to make sure everything is perfect," Brock replied, matter-of-factly. "But I still don't get why they would take that long to get ready. I mean, it's been almost two hours!" Ash said, annoyed. Brock replied, "Well, the thing is, if they mess up one thing about their outfit, they have to do it all over again." Ash just snickered. But then he saw something that made his jaw drop. "CHRISTMAS COOKIES!!!" he exclaimed, and hurried to get some with his pal, Pikachu.

"Wow!" Misty spoke softly, awed by how sentimental the inside of a house could look. Christmas tunes were playing by the huge stereo in the a corner of the room, cheer was in the air, the walls were decorated with red and green designs and paper snowflakes, each a different style, and there was even a giant Christmas tree near the center. But almost above the tree, hung from the ceiling, there it was, the thing that always made her excited to see… mistletoe. "Maybe someday," Misty said, dreamily.

Brock was the first one to spot Misty. "Hey! Misty! You're finally here!" Brock said, waving to her. Ash gazed at how Misty looked, and almost choked on his cookie, and resulting in Brock having to thump him on the back. He was suddenly hypnotized, he had never seen a girl look so beautiful before… well, at least not Misty, anyway. But Misty? Could he possibly be getting a crush on one of his friends?! He was so mesmerized by her silky, red hair and pretty face that he could have stood there standing for an hour if he wanted to. Misty, however, was also staring at how cute he looked in his tuxedo with his perfectly spiky black hair that got her every time, and not to mention his gorgeous chocolate eyes…

What happens in chapter 2? Stay tuned! (even though the title pretty much gives it away, lol)
