Forever Gone

He said goodbye to her for the last time. She was pale, a ghost like slickly pale. Her lips, that had once been a beautiful shade of red, now were cracked and dried, almost as white as the skin that surrounded them. Her hair that had once glistened like threads of onyx stone, now just limp, completely drained of all life. Her face, that used to be so full of life and joy, was now a barren wasteland of no emotion at all.
He held her small, delicate hand in his hands. Her hands were cold, and unresponsive to his touch. He ran a finger over her wrist, hoping that he was wrong, that there might still be a chance that even the smallest spark of life was left inside of her. But all was still, no pulse. Nothing but death.
A wave of emotion washed over him, drowning him in a wave of sorrow. He was wracked with a fit of sorrow, that came on so rapidly he could only let them out in broken, choked sobs. A single tear, slid down his cheek and fell onto her cold emotionless face. The tear mixed with the blood that had dried on her forehead.
He pulled her lifeless body toward his chest. He grabbed onto it, holding her close, refusing to accept that she was gone forever.
"She can't be gone," he choked, his voice was already broken before he even began to speak. "She just can't be." His heart shattered into thousands of tiny pieces, scattered on the floor around him, never to be found and mended again.
He wiped the small droplets of blood and tears from her forehead, creating a dark red smear against her snow white skin.
He stared into her face, remembering the way her nose wrinkled when she laughed. How she would yell in frustration and playfully hit him when he teased her. The way she reacted to every time he kissed her. The way she would say I love you, as they lied under the stars at night.
He continued to cry, but slowly he let go of her body, gently laying her on the floor in the pool of her blood that now stained the floor.
He wasn't ready so say goodbye, if he ever even would really be ready. He had loved her since the first day that he had laid his eyes on her. He loved her, even when they weren't together all that he could think about was her. She was like a part of him that he could not let go.
He said goodbye to her one last time. Goodbye to the only woman that he ever loved, and ever would love. He looked down at her body one last time. "Always and forever I shall love you," he whispered, kissing her forehead one last time, before slipping away into the darkness.
- So I have this habit of telling stories to myself in my head when I am bored. And I was in the middle of Geometry class, when nothing was going on, so I started to tell myself some stories. And having seen the death scene of Ada from Resident Evil 2 on youtube recently (the one where she says she is in love with Leon), the event was fresh in my mind. So this sort of came into being. And I liked what I was thinking/telling myself so I wrote it down.
I don't know if you would call this a fanfiction, because it really isn't about the two of them. It is more the reaction of a man losing the woman he loves, even though that is what happened, it is in a diffrent sense that it could be anyone, not the two of them in specific. But if you want to think that it is, then go right ahead.
My friend suggested that it was close enough to the characters that I could probaly pass it off. So they are OOC and the story might sound a little funny because it was not originally intended to be a fanfic. Please tell me if they are right or not, because I have only played RE 4 and don't really know much else about the characters. Thanks in advance. Anyway, that is my Author's note.
