Everything to me
Shikamaru knocked on the hospital room door, where Kiba was staying. He heard a ruff voice telling him to come in. As he walked in, he noticed that Kiba's sister was also visiting. Kiba smiled as the lazy ninja walked over to the bed he was confined to. He turned his attention back to Hana for a moment.
"Hey sis, you mind giving us some time to talk?" Kiba asked. She shook her head and left.
Shikamaru sat in the chair next to Kiba that Hana occupied a moment ago. "Hey Kiba, sorry I haven't come to see you yet. How are you doing?"
"Just fine, Hana said no long walks for Akamaru or I for a while," he replied. "Which sucks, since no one but family has really come to visit."
"So what have you been doing here for fun then?" Shikamaru asked as he leaned against the bed railing.
"Watch the clouds," Kiba answered as he looked out he window, towards the clouds. "Reminds me of you, and how we used to watch them together when we were kids."
"Hn, I guess I really am the only one that watches them anymore," The lazy ninja commented, as he looked out the window as well.
They both sat/laid there in silence, just enjoying each others company. Something they've done since they were kids. Shikamaru's eyes flashed over to Kiba. He was covered in bandages, making him feel even guiltier above the mission. He watched him for a few more minutes, before he turned his attention back towards the window as he began to talk. "I got so worried about you and everyone else, but you the most. It scared me when you fell of that cliff."
Kiba looked toward the other ninja, who was still looking out the window. He reached over and intertwined his fingers with Shikamaru's. "For someone as laid back as you, you sure do worry a lot."
"There's only three people I bother worrying about," Shikamaru stated. "And those are my very troublesome best friends, who like to pull me down with them."
"Heh, you love us anyways,"
"Your right," Shikamaru smiled as he gave Kiba's hand a gentle squeeze and looking over at him. "I do love you, more than anything."
Kiba's eyes widened as those words left Shikamaru's lips. They been secretly together for a year now, and he had yet to hear Shikamaru tell him that. Choji, and Shino would sometimes as him if he had said it yet, since they were the only one who knew. "Do you really mean that?"
Shikamaru nodded. "Yeah Kiba, I mean it. When I saw you fall, I was so afraid that I wouldn't be able to tell you that I loved you, that I wouldn't ever be able to see you again. It frightened me that much." Shikamaru paused for a moment. "And I just want you to know that no matter what, I love you and I don't ever want be without you. Your everything to me, so don't ever scare me like that again."
Kiba smiled as a single tear left his eye, after the other's confession. "I love you too Shikamaru and I promise that I won't."
Shikamaru leaned in and gently kissed Kiba, just as they heard the door shut. Instantly Shikamaru jumped back. They turned to see Hana with her arms folded and a slightly amused look on her face. "Are you done seducing my brother yet you little sap?"
