The sunrise, bright;
A new dawn
Of a New Year.

In this time;
I reflect
In the early light.

I think of all that has passed
Events both shown and denied
Moments of mine ignored and lost.

All the lost time
The missing days
The moments lost.

My ignorance banished by chance
Simple words spoken
My path turned to the light.

The light, whose
Warmth I am ready
To embrace.

In the sunlight's bright glow,
I wonder if I will find
The true me I wish to know.
